Blue Moon Pizza of Buckhead — Restaurant in Atlanta

I called ahead and placed a pickup order for a pizza tonight. I first had to drive to a different restaurant to get food for someone else in my family before I went to pick up the pizza. When I arrived at Blue Moon, it was not full or busy since it was an early dinner order. When I asked for my pizza, the guy at the pickup counter looked around, then told me that they "gave away" my pizza to someone else and would make another one. No apology or explanation. He acted like it was a normal thing they did, no big deal. I asked why they gave it away, if they only give you a certain amount of time to pick it up before they give it away (it had taken me about 30 minutes to get there). He wouldn't answer my question, just kept saying they were making another one and it would be ready shortly. I waited. After the other pizza was ready, I paid full price (I did not argue about paying). I usually order from a different Blue Moon location since this one has difficult parking and has been slow to make pickup orders in the past. But I have never been to a restaurant to pick up food and been told that they simply gave it away for no reason. I don't even know if it was an accident or not since nobody would discuss it. Be careful when ordering from here, especially when placing an online order. They regularly mess up on orders and expect you to come back to the restaurant for their mistakes. Also, please be mindful when ordering large pies as they most likely will take a pie made earlier in the day, add toppings to it, then reheat it.

I placed an order for an 18" pizza with pepperoni and crispy chicken. When I received the order, it was a 16" pizza with pepperoni and grilled chicken. Clearly, the pizza was cooked earlier in the day because the crust and bottom of the pie was completely burnt + crust was hard as a rock, and still cold in certain spots. The chicken wasn't even cooked into the pizza, half of the chicken was on the side of the box when I opened it!!!

What really bothered me is the fact that whoever cooked the pizza, pulled bits of chicken off another pizza, salad, sandwich or something. We didn't even eat the pizza, we just threw it out.

For the life of me, I wish I took a photo of it. Completely disrespectful and unacceptable.

I even sent an email into the restaurant and never received a response. Far from hospitable. Hard pass....

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Very excited to try new pizza spots. Always am. Great vibe, music and layout. Friendly faces as you walk in. SERVICE + EXPERIENCE: We had good service. The server was attentive and very chill which I liked. Food came out hot and fast! Drinks too. I loved that thhe kitchen was open and up front. FOOD + DRINKS: Pizza was ok. A regular cheese and a Margherita was what we ordered but it was not a good mozzarella cheese. I prefer burrata on a good pizza and I can tell the difference. Really enjoyed the dough. The wings were cooked perfectly. Not to soggy but not extremely dry and crispy. I did not like the choice of sauce, teriyaki. Not my choice so I asked for bbq on the side. For some reason my fiance expected Teriyaki to be sweet but it was savory. And we like sweet. Mozzarella sticks are very cheesy which we enjoyed and had fun eating.
