Vis A Vis The Salon — Local services in Atlanta

I went to this salon 2 years ago and had a terrible experience. The only good thing about the salon was the valet parking and the design inside. The girl that cut my hair, which I cannot remember her name for the life of me (very skinny, young, brown hair, that's all I can remember), was on her cell phone texting the entire time. She would cut a few pieces, then grab her phone and text, then cut again. She cut my hair WAY shorter than I asked her to, and I gave her very specific instructions. I also had my hair asymetrical at the time and she informed me that my longer side was on the wrong side and it should be the opposite side. I told her that I had never heard of that, and didn't know there was a RULE to this, but I was fine with it. Regardless of what I said, she cut my longer side to make it shorter than the other side. The girl was extremely unfriendly and rude. I have never and will never go back to this salon again. I now go to Mint Salon in midtown, where I've never had an issue. Got a cut from Todd and color from Alyson. Alyson was wonderful and friendly ; she did a great job. Todd is another story. No personality, and when he would speak, it was generally somewhat negative. So there was not much talking (which is nice sometimes). But talk about bitchy! I told him I really liked the cut, but my bangs were in my eyes. He said they looked fine. I again (nicely) pointed out that I couldn't see because of my bangs, so he whipped me around in the chair and spent the next 10 minutes (!) trimming them. When he turned me back around, he had cut the bangs about 1" above my eyebrows. I was shocked! Todd, on the other hand, seemed very pleased with himself. He knows how to cut hair very well, so he obviously did this on purpose. I would return to the salon, and I would definitely see Alyson for my color. But DON'T let Todd touch you. Extremely disappointing. I booked a balayage with Vina. There was very little transparency throughout the entire process. I was actually given a "foilayage" which I specially didn't ask for because I didn't want stripey highlights. I was also charged for other extras that I was not informed about during the service. I reached out to customer service and they were rude and unhelpful. They have one photo of my hair, which was taken in poor light, that they were basing all of their responses off of. The photo was taken from the side and only showed the outermost layer of my hair, not all of the rest of my hair which was untouched and not lightened. Since it's been slightly longer than two weeks from my service date, they're messaging was like "F you, not our problem." It's clear that this place does not care about their customers.
