I have been a loyal customer to this salon for over a year. Less than a week ago I went in to get my regular acrylic fill and was serviced by the man sitting in station 3. I had my nails done and planned to be back in two weeks - business as usual; however, this time was a different experience. The following day I had two nails break. I went in to get them fixed, fully expecting to pay, but the owner fixed up my two nails and I left a $5 tip. Two days following that, I had three more nails break! A little annoyed, I went back to get them fixed. This time I was sent back to station three to the person who originally did them, again, I offered to pay, they declined, and I left a tip. Two more days follow and one more of my nails breaks! AHH! Mind you, I’ve been coming to this salon for over a year and have never experienced an occurrence such as this. Again, I go back to the salon, show them my broken nail and I mention that it was my third time having to come back for this set. I’m sent back to the guy at station 3 and I’m immediately met with a flippancy. He asked me what color my nails were, he was the one that remind the staff and myself on my 1st and 2nd visit of the color so he was well aware, I reminded him and he proceeded to go grab a gel color. Gel colors are more expensive and not the color I’ve had the past 4 times I’ve been in there at this point. He gets the color, poorly paints my nail, and tells me that this time I’m going to have to pay for my one finger to be fixed because I “bite my nails”. Embarrassingly, I told him that I get my nails done to prevent myself from bitting my nails, and then he proceeded to tell me that “whatever it is that I do” (he holds up claw hands) that I’m the reason my nails are breaking. First off, I work in IT and have been getting my nails done for the past four years and the last time I checked typing on a keyboard and giving presentations isn’t exactly the vocation that destroys nails. Second off, I’ve been coming to this salon for over a year now and have brought other friends and my mother and always generously tip my technicians because I value customer service and the quality of work they provided. The issue of my getting a poor fill in has never occurred before. I planned on letting it go and again returning when I needed my fill. It wasn’t until after this afternoon that the man sitting in station 3 humiliated me, tried to make me look like I was a con artist coming in to get my nails done for free that has now made my decision to never return. This used to be my favorite salon in Buckhead, but because this person decided to berate me in front of other customers and failed to realize my loyalty towards this establishment I will NEVER return again. Shame on the other technicians, that know me, for allowing him to treat me that way. I was truly upset and disappointed to start my Memorial Day weekend on such a...
Read moreVery unprofessional and RACIST. I came in here with a girl friend of mine to get pedicures. When we walked in, my friend was excited “no one was here” i said mm that’s not a good thing. We explained we wanted pedicures. A man told us to wait 10 mins. After waiting he says to take the 2 last chairs. We take our seat. Immediately my friend started being serviced, that’s fine I’ve been getting my nails done long enough to know that happens. After sitting there for 25 mins a lady comes over and asks me how the water what pedicure and color i wanted. I explain the water was cold after sitting for 25 mins. She then turns the water on i said it’s cold and making the water colder. She proceeded to add cold water until it was filled up and adds a jet. Why tf would you had a jet to cold water? She starts walking away and i said ma’am my water is cold. She says ok and sit down and continues to service a WHITE lady while blatantly ignoring me and my request. I asked for a towel the man says “she’s going to fix the temperature” how is she going to fix the temperature and she’s clearly sitting down tending to someone else. I refuse to spend my money in an establishment that racially profiles. That lady had no apparent reason to be rude or ignore my request. I sat there patiently and didn’t say a word to anyone. It was so bad the nail lady working on my friend’s pedicure apologized on her behalf. She kept saying “I’m so sorry I’m sorry” as she heard me getting upset. Like this is Atlanta, too many BLACK people have money for y’all...
Read moreAs much as I want to support a small business, I absolutely hated my nails and the service.
I got a mani pedi and requested a pink ombre with cats eye tips. The pedi went well but the mani looks absolutely nothing like the multiple references I showed. The ombre is not blended at all and it was an entirely different color. My nail tech just decided to do glitter tips without telling me because apparently cats eye tips are not possible (I specifically requested cats eye). I don’t mind switching things up but they didn’t let me know before putting it on my nails and I corrected them so many times about my nails that I had eventually given up on it.
I told the manager I was unhappy and wanted a discount or to get my nails redone. She tried to gaslight me about how it’s only slightly off but it was so obviously bad that she started scolding the nail tech in front of me. Her solution was to offer taking it off for me (leaving me with extremely weak nails because they buffed them so much) or to add extra glitter on top. I added extra glitter because I just wanted to leave and my nails are incredibly thick/heavy now. All that and I was forced to pay full...
