I feel like some folks are either confusing Bricker's with another location they had a bad experience in, or have unrealistic expectations of food service workers post-pandemic.
However, with that said, my four person squad LOVED Bricker's, the Mac and Cheese was beyond phenomenal, and the burgers were delicious, I should know, I ate a total of four of them.
How four of them? my friend Wally and I took the 'Brick Wall' challenge, which was comprised of eight angus quarter pounder patties, roast beef, gravy, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, tater tots, and onion rings, all slapped together on a massive kaiser roll, and brought to you on a pizza-tray, the challenge is that if you and a friend can finish it, you are given hats and a spot on their wall of winners, which apparently, we were either the first, or one of the rare few to finish it.
I absolutely loved it, while I am in no way a 'professional eater', this burger while monolithic, was deliciously made as well, I could of never done this with a burger of the same size from say Wendy's or something, but the quality was just as fantastic as the size.
To those who are rating one star over the service, have you even read a newspaper lately? The food industry as a whole has gone through a complete apocalyptic event and has only now begun to recover, please try and have a bit of patience with 'slow' or 'inadequate' service, before you slam down a one star, think of that.
As for us, I experienced none of the near libelous statements given by others, we had some of the best food we have had in years, service with a smile, and genuinely a great time, I highly recommend Bricker's to anyone who enjoys...
Read moreI am sitting outside on the boardwalk enjoying my subpar breakfast because that was the most hostile restaurant I’ve ever been in, and I worked in my in-laws restaurant! Within 5 minutes a man who worked there was literally screaming at a customer! This customer kept his cool and was respectful and was then yelled at and completely disrespected by the front staff. I was in shock. I had ordered my food and wanted nothing more than to pay for my tea and leave, but didn’t want the waitstaff to get treated poorly for a canceled order. The kitchen was open and I watched employees speaking to each other just as harshly. Wow. Just wow. These people need a wall to keep their hostility in the back. I have never wanted to get out of a place faster. Everyone seemed tired and cranky AF… or just sad that the had to be there in that negative environment. Happy Sunday! To all you servers keeping your head down… find a new place to work! You don’t...
Read moreWent here a couple times. Food is good. My only complaint is the older heavyset white woman working over the counter. I ordered a shake. First she comes up to me and give the shake. I say thank you. She says nothing then awkwardly stares at me. Like she is mad she has to work there. Then I leave to walk around the arcade. I come back because my straw was not fit for drinking a thick shake. She acts like I'm being unreasonable for asking for another straw. There is a spoon at the end of the straw. But I am walking around with it so that doesn't work for me. She gives me attitude but I get the straw replaced. Which works better than the first one. Whoever is in charge either needs to fire her or retrain her. And if she happens to be in charge well she deserves to go out of business. I am not coming back. It's stupid of her to antagonize...
