Came in for breakfast on a weekday… they were hardly busy at all, there was only one other person eating in there when I went in. I waited a while to be seated while “Cindy” (I heard someone else call her name) was marking bills to ensure they were real and cash out a previous customer. Once she was done, she wasn’t very friendly in grabbing a menu to get me seated.
Once seated, the waitress that helped me was great… friendly, helpful, and attentive. The menu is decent and it appeared their special was biscuits with gravy. I ordered this with scambled eggs with cheese.
The eggs were scrambled and cooked perfectly! The sausage gravy was quite nice! Biscuits were decent too. Overall, the food was tasty and fresh. The home fries they serve were bland and boring, good thing I asked for jalapeños with them, that made them taste a lot better.
Cashing out meant dealing with Cindy again… what a mess! I’m not sure why she’s there with everything else seems to work well, because she most definitely doesn’t.
The two reason for the poor rating - The dated, blah venue and the service provided by Cindy. The service provided by my server was...

We ordered the steak (medium) and eggs platter which I DO NOT recommend. The steak was over cooked and certainly did not appear to be a sirloin. We immediately sent the steak back and they did offer to recook it. Obviously we declined. We were not offered to order a different item and the waitress immediately walked away. The platter did come with 2 eggs, home fries, and toast, which we ate. However, when we received the bill, they charged us separately for those menu items which totaled more than the standard 2 eggs, home fries, and choice of meat. Make thay make sense.
We asked for those items to be removed because we were not informed, as the waitress said this would be taken off. However, our request was denied by the manager because he said, "Well you ate the food" and "you could have asked for something else" As if the manager thought we could have asked for anything while the waitress was always walking away and very busy.
This is simply bad costumer...

As soon as we went in we noticed the place was packed with people - I'm guessing it must be good - regardless we got a table very quickly.
The waiter was very quick to take our order. We both got orange juice & water. The orange juice had good taste, and the water was fine. My husband ordered the Hot Jumbo Biscuit - from the Chef's Specials - with some grits & eggs/bacon. I had the breakfast sandwich - I selected a bagel, 2 eggs, ham, & home fries.
My husband stated that the grits were bland, as he ended up putting a lot of butter in it plus the egg & bacon, which made it a bit better. The biscuits were really good as the gravy was well seasoned.
Me on the other hand, thought the home fries were very bland. Needless to say I had to bombard them with ketchup for them to acquire any taste. My bagel was not that bad, the egg by itself was tasteless, now, together in that combination was alright.
The good thing about this place is that is not expensive by any means. However, one may feel rushed to...
