Over this past weekend my family and I went to the Tennessee Avenue Beer Hall for the first time and we can't wait to go back. Despite walking into a Beer Hall with two young children we were greeted enthusiastically with crayons and a coloring book to boot. Not only was the staff genuinely welcoming, but they handled my son's food allergies in a manner that made us comfortable - and not as though we were just being difficult. You'd be surprised how often we hear teeth sucking paired with "I don't think that is made with egg" or "pretty sure we don't use peanut oil." Our son's life depends on restaurant staff being transparent, and at the Tennessee Avenue Beer Hall every time we asked a question, our server, without issue, checked with the kitchen. With that said, our server, Lindsey, was awesome. She checked on us often and made sure our desires were met. The owner/manager even made my son feel extra special by asking for a signed picture to hang on their refrigerator.
As for the food... It was delicious and well-portioned. Everything tasted fresh - bread, beef, fish, slaw. Seriously better then most casual restaurants.
The beer selections are fantastic. Everything thing you'd want was on tap from lights, farmhouses and sours, to heavyweights. Their canned beer options were just as exciting.
I know a few have complained about the pricing, and yes, it was a tad pricey, but it was WELL worth the cost.
Facilities are clean, aesthetics are cool - and I need to get back there when the outdoor...

The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance—casual enough that you feel comfortable the second you walk in, but lively enough to make it feel like you’re part of something special.
The food is way beyond what you’d expect from a typical beer hall. Every dish feels thoughtfully made, and you can tell they put real effort into both flavor and presentation. It’s the kind of menu where you’ll want to branch out and try something new, but also where the classics are so well done that you’ll keep coming back to them.
The staff really tie the whole experience together. Everyone I interacted with was upbeat, attentive, and seemed genuinely happy to be there—something you don’t always find. They make you feel like more than just another customer.
And of course, the beer selection is unmatched. Whether you’re into local brews, unique crafts, or just want a perfectly poured pint of something familiar, they’ve got it covered. It’s easily one of the most impressive tap lists you’ll find in the area. One beer I’d recommend is the “I really Love NJ” it was very good. Like a lager, but a little lighter and it had great flavor.
Overall, Tennessee Avenue Beer Hall isn’t just a place to grab a drink—it’s an experience that makes Atlantic City feel a little more like home. There were also plenty of TVs to...
Read moreVery happy that this place has opened and is contributing meaningfully to the beginnings of an urban renaissance in Atlantic City. It’s a nice, relatively low-key place, especially when you consider that it is a BEER HALL in Atlantic City.
There is an extensive and well-curated craft beer selection as well as a pub-style menu. Had a couple of beers and shared a HUGE pretzel with my wife and, lemme tell you, that pretzel was THE BOMB! So good!
They even have pinball machines, which was a real treat, and offer other games in their outdoor patio area.
Service was very friendly, but seemed very scattered. When we came in, we asked for menus and were offered the chance to grab a table, but it took quite a while to actually get the menus. Different people checked on us periodically but it was a bit hard to get servers’ attention. Again, everyone was super nice when we interacted with them, just took a bit more energy than I thought it needed to.
Two other thoughts: there is a table right beside the pinball machines which would be perfect for putting drinks on while playing the games, but the staff had a pile of menus sitting in the table. Also, the food options for vegetarians were very limited. Would love to see a veggie burger on the menu, especially given the younger demographic that this place is seeking to attract.
That all said, I like the vibe here very much and will...
