Myself and two family members went to Metro on a late Saturday afternoon. We were served desserts while we waited for our coffee. Our coffee was served in to-go cups which I wasn't expecting and didn't like. Others were served in mugs. My cappuccino didn't even fill the cup! The other day I enjoyed a delicious cappuccino in a big mug at Inner bean cafe, it was delicious! For me, Metro's cappuccino was just alright. I hate wasting anything especially a pricey coffee, but I couldn't finish it because it just was not that good. My mom's decaf was sour. The barista said it's because of it's high acidic content. He kindly replaced it with another roast, but not much better. I gave it to my husband. He drinks any coffee, but he didn't even want to finish it. My husband had the Soprano, he enjoyed it. To me it tasted too much like sweet cherry syrup with mild coffee flavor. The desserts looked yummy, BUT looks can be deceiving. I love desserts, but not these. The desserts were outsourced from a

bakery. I had the mango guava mousse roundcake....no flavor and the mousse was not airy and creamy, but more like a thick cool whip. The chocolate toffee blondie was dry and just ok. The chocolate with creme and coconut in the middle layer round cake was a little dense, but ok. The entrance is wheelchair accessible. There are only 3 booths that you can roll the wheelchair slightly...

After visiting several times in the past year since moving to the area, service was never exceptional, sub-par at the least. The atmosphere itself was inviting for the most part, people watching while sipping a chai latte being a favorite Friday evening pastime. Tonight was a different story , with several employees milling about behind the bar, talking guests, on the phone in the back, smoking outside, I stood at the counter along with two people behind me for 7 minutes while three employees barely acknowledged me, after asking one young lady if she was the only one working tonight, she snapped " Yes, can you give me a minute please!?", I politely responded I have been here for 7 minutes waiting along with the people behind me. When leaving the café empty handed, there there two employees on the side of the building smoking while the other employee was inside driving customers away. It is clear that the staff has been working there for some time, as the urgency to take care of the guest is not a priority, more so an afterthought. Hoping things get better with the staff...

This past Sunday i turned 21, so my husband took my out to downtown Augusta to start celebrating at midnight. i started my night at another bar, was there til almost 1am, and then followed my new friends to Metro. We ordered a couple birthday shots (tequila) and weren't charged (i assume because it was our birthdays). Afterwards, we each got a couple drinks and enjoyed the rest of the night until the bar closed.

The drinks were strong and yummy. The live band was super loud, i was screaming an inch away from people's ears just to be heard. i was glad when they left and i could actually have a conversation with the person a foot away from me. Once the music died down, i enjoyed the atmosphere of the place. Everyone i met seemed pretty friendly. The bartender was sweet for giving us our birthday shots for free. The line for the bathroom was only ever a couple people long at a time. The bathrooms weren't bad at all (i was expecting much worse and was pleasantly surprised). Overall i enjoyed myself and would...

I was recently in Augusta on a business trip and found myself wanting coffee. One of my coworkers who is from the area suggested Metro Coffeehouse so I decided to walk down to its location and take in the city of Augusta. The building has an aesthetic from being older and the atmosphere was exactly what you would expect from an urban setting coffeehouse. Artwork on the walls, wooden floors, and a pub is attached so you can go there for a pick me up or a knock me down which is awesome. The coffee was great and price point fair considering it’s a coffeehouse in a city. The only criticism is that a chandelier is directly in the way of the menu chalkboard above the counter where you order. Definitely a do-it-again upon my return to Augusta.

I really enjoyed this bar. My husband and I came on Friday night to grab a drink. My Espresso martini was great! My favorite thing about the bar was the music! They were playing early-mid 90’s Pop/R&B. It was so fun! The bar was busy, but not uncomfortably crowded. We ended up returning for a drink the next day. I love that you can get coffee beverages and/or alcoholic beverages at the same place. There didn’t seem to be much of a food selection outside of a few scones and cheesecakes, so it may not be the best place if you’re looking for a meal. I would highly recommend a visit to Metro Coffee House

Great little spot! Comparable to Starbucks, but with better vibes. Haven't tried the booze, but enjoyed the coffee. I got the contenda with orange and dark chocolate. It was good, but a bit too sweet for my tastes. I am waiting to find a coffee shop that has all fresh ingredients and homemade syrups etc... Like a good cocktail bar for coffee. Most, like Metro, use typical low altitude probably Indonesian beans. Very consistent coffee, but it would be nice to find a place that has small farm locally roasted beans with unique and subtle notes to explore. I recommend it!
