I came in with a group of friends shopping in the domain, my first time ever at this Gong Cha branch. The guy in the front with the round glasses working the register was not patient with us as we ordered our drinks. Tone of voice, body language, snappy responses, it was clear this person either had a bad day or just isn’t respectful of the customers that come to Gong Cha. I ordered a creme brulee brown sugar drink, told them that I wanted 100% sugar, but my drink did not come out sweet. Some of my friends had ordered the same drink, so I tasted theirs to see and they were a lot sweeter. Usually, you can also see some of the brown sugar collecting at the bottom, but mine had none. Thinking it was a simple mistake, I went up to the guy at the front again and I politely told them that my drink wasn’t sweet. It wasn’t an issue really until this person then repeatedly told me that the drink is supposed to taste that way and was being unapologetically dismissive of the fact that it lacked sweetness. After telling me this twice, they proceeded to take the order of the next customer in line. A worker in the back then came to the front and told me that she had made my drink. I politely told her that my drink was not sweet and asked if it could be remade, but she continued to tell me that she had made it right and that it did have 100% sugar. Basically denied service, I threw the drink in the trash and walked away.
Was not deciding on writing a review and just leaving it be, but after reading a few of the reviews already posted, I hope whoever is reading this will take these words to heart. A good bit of customers going to the Gong Cha domain branch have had the same issues in the past, including my group of friends, enough that these employees and their actions are held accountable. A few of our friends’ drinks were additionally not made in the right size and did not have the right toppings. We could hear them ourselves complaining about having to remake them. Denying me service when I had paid for the drink, the lack of patience in helping me with an issue I remained calm and polite about as a customer, disrespectful demeanors. Whatever it is you are going through, I hope you find peace. Just not in...
Read moreI placed an online order for pick up.
When I arrived to pick it up and told the worker I was there for pickup, the first thing the male worker said was "I'm gonna have to give you a refund for your drink. We don't serve that anymore." So I asked if I could at least select another drink. He said "uhh I guess you could do that. We have the other drink in your order made right here."
As he finished his transaction, he decided to take orders from the 2 other groups that came in after me instead of asking me what drink I wanted. Then after the line is gone, he then acknowledges me and asks what drink I wanted. At that point, I told him I'd rather just get the refund. He didn't know how to process it and had to ask the other female worker. Then he continued to ring up more customers as we stood there waiting. He then asks "are you waiting for something?" we told him we were waiting on the other drink that was already made. The girl said she gave me a full refund, not just the single drink they didn't serve anymore. So he holds our drink and says "you're going to have to pay for the drink again".
Please check that the employees you hire have proper training in customer service. They should've contacted me when the drink was no longer available and asked me if I'd like to substitute. They should've apologized for the inconvenience and offered a solution. Because of their mistake, they expected us to have to pay...
Read moreToday some extremely rude dark blonde white guy with glasses gave me the meanest response to a simple question. I was shocked at the level of poor customer service from this person.
I WEAR GLASSES, I'm short, and the sign blends into to side wall! Not the most noticeable standing in line behind people. I like the Creme Brulee drink on the menu. As I was waiting in line I couldn't see the picture on the menu. This being said, when I got to the counter I said I didn't see it and asked if I could still order it. This guy leaned over the counter pointed to the side wall in my face and didn't even speak to me. He just pointed instead of answering. Then he was short with me for the rest of the order and didn't even ask me if I wanted my receipt. Extremely rude.
Seriously, why be that way? How does that make better?
I still like this place but I don't ever want to order from that guy again and I certainly don't want him making my drink.
