The service was great, very friendly attendants, confirmed order when I accidentally ordered the salad plate instead of rice, I just didn't look at the menu clearly, courteous and respectful, the food is what I was not happy with, didn't look or taste fresh, like it was just put on a pan to be warmed up instead of grilled on an open flame as it should be on skewers, plus no bread was included with food as most Mediterranean restaurants include pita bread with their plates, at $15 for a plate I feel the food truck like most good Mediterranean restaurants should grill the meat on am open flame and provide the bread, food was okay, not the best, it was just something you'd try once, but the 2 people working were very friendly and courteous, the seating was as a food truck seating should be with table, benches and an umbrella, no complaints there, just if the food was cooked fresh even if I had to wait for it I would've put it on my list to return. Food quality and customer service both are what I look for in an establishment, but food...

Really really loved this place. I came here after a workout for some Mediterranean soul food and man they did not disappoint.

Right off of S 1st Street in a nice little food truck park is Tx Shawarma. I ordered the gyro plate when I went, and what I got was SUPER delicious and filled with flavor. And there's a really interesting thing about their gyro meat that I want to point out--each piece had a crispy edge! It's not something I've ever had when eating gyro elsewhere, but honestly, it was such a nice touch. I would go back just for that alone.

However, the whole experience was so much more! The vegetables were fresh and also had a nice crisp. The white sauce, hot sauce, and pita bread were all amazing. And the gentleman who helped me was so nice too!

This place is in the upper tier of Mediterranean food trucks in the downtown Austin area. If you're already downtown and in the market for this, go south of the river and stop by even if it means more driving. It's worth...

I recently had the pleasure of ordering from TX Shawarma, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was vibrant and inviting.

The highlight of my visit was, of course, the food. I ordered the mix shawarma plate, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The flavors were well-balanced, and the ingredients were fresh and perfectly cooked.

Additionally, the baklava was a delightful surprise, offering a unique and memorable taste that I thoroughly enjoyed.

A special shoutout to Ibrahim, whose exceptional customer service made the experience even more enjoyable. His attentiveness and friendly demeanor truly stood out.

Overall, TX Shawarma exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. I’ll definitely be...

Decided to pick up dinner at the Thicket Food Park location on South 1st. It was our first time trying and the young guy working the truck was super kind and explained everything throughly. We ordered: The chicken shawarma plate The beef kabob wrap Side of falafel (it comes with pita bread, white sauce and hot sauce) Side order of fries (white sauce, hot sauce and ketchup on the side, at the suggestion of the worker so my fries wouldn’t be soggy on the ride home!) The food was hot and super delicious! The wait was no problem at all. I’d also like to mention that the menu is super visible, everything that comes on a dish is clearly stated and if a modification is necessary they will happily do it. In my case I didn’t want red onions on the chicken shawarma plate so they left them off. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Super fresh spot for shawarma in a food truck court. I had the chicken shawarma and also got the side of falafel/pita. Everything was made fresh after ordering and the shawarma was packed full, literally, as well as being full of flavor. Perfect blend of spice, pickles, and rice. I was full but finished it off 😳 The falafel was a bit much to add with how much food came in the shawarma, but the hot sauce that came with it was nice. It has a mild heat that builds over time. Service was friendly and straightforward. I ate at the courts tables for a late Monday lunch, and most other traffic was take away ordering.
