This was my worst visit here yet…. The staff at this time of morning are terrible to say the least. I’d just returned to Baltimore, my home city after a few days of hard work out of town, hence the time of morning. Normally I’d have arrived later in the morning around 5am-ish. Today however, I’d returned a bit early after my twelve hour run, around 1:30am. Needless to say, after wrapping up my last job I utilized the local transit (MTA) MARYLAND to travel. I made my routine stops along my route home which includes IHOP located at 600 e Pratt street, where I like to get a bite to eat and a cup of Joe to wake up to before I continue on Metro to my residence. Thinking ahead I had someone order a meal for me seeing as though I had no desire to dinning in. Once I arrived at said establishment to retrieve my order I was informed by a server that they ā€˜IHOP’ was unable to full-fill that Door Dash order. šŸ¤·šŸ¾So in turn since I came to eat I had my order cancelled then attempted to order something different which I was fully prepared to pay for in person. Well… that didn’t go down well. I was left standing at the counter by the manager who retreated to the rear of the kitchen and didn’t return with any type of resolution. Only to later send an employee ā€˜THE SERVER’ to Tell me I had to leave. At that point I was totally upset. Who wishes to guess what happens next🫢 Yep, if you’re from Baltimore you probably guessed right, they called their personal security team…. The Baltimore City Police Department lead this morning by the one and only, officer Cooper or so she claimed. Wasn’t able to confirm this to be true due to her name tag being cover, as one could see in the videos. Nonetheless She entered the establishment, instantly dismissed me and held a conversation with NOT THE MANAGER but; you guessed it, ā€˜The Server’! Who in turn conveniently sold the Cop the ā€œirateā€ customer story since I’d ordered through DoorDash there was nothing he could, especially not just take a new order. All he said was the food had been 86ed, restaurant lingo, for those who don’t know; meaning ā€˜THEY DON’T HAVE NONE!’ šŸ¤·šŸ¾ I’m still trying to figure how is this my ā€˜THE CUSTOMER’S’ fault? Regardless what my complaint was officer Cooper proceeded to ignore me then even had the nerve to call back up because I wouldn’t let her over talk me…… I’m Troy Mayo There Nothing special about me as far as I stand it, yes that’s what I said; STAND IT. I’m a focused man…. Just watch the videos KAREN don’t got nothing on me. Not to mention I’m….. I’M IN THE RIGHT I!!!!!!!

I got home I was missing my side order of large fries and the pancakes they gave with my chicken tenders was still raw on the inside and the extra pancakes they tried to compensate me was very raw to and you could tell by just looking at it that wasn’t cooked properly. The service there is horrible. You had two female servers that were swooping taking orders and serving those dining in. One had one glove on that she never took off serving everyone and helping with plating up the food and taking money, while plating one of the cover fell on the floor and she picked it up and still covered the food with that dirty cover. the other one had two gloves on taking money, serving others and plating up. They both were touching clean and dirty things. Never changed the gloves or washed their hands. I work in a nursing home in the kitchen and I don’t do that. One of the was so tired she forgot if you ordered or didn’t order, who ordered what so some orders were messed up. I’m not even from this state I was an out of state visitor. I was so hungry and driving back and forth trying to find some where to eat at that point nothing else opened at that time I had no choice but to eat my dry chicken tenders she forgot to give me my sauce (hot sauce) for the tenders. My friend was not pleased with the service either. It was horrible and I’m very ashamed that is happening. Everyone needs their job. But this establishment needs to review it cleanliness. Good thing I didn’t dine in person I would not have seen what was going on behind the scenes. Please do better especially it looks black owned.

Here I am writing another review right in the midst of my experience because I’m that disgusted. I don’t even know where to begin. I should’ve took the FILTHY revolving door as a sign. We were seated very quickly- that probably was the ONLY plus during the whole experience- to a dirty, sticky table. Our waitress, Jasmine, quickly moved us to another table while her manager verbally and non-verbally inquired why, saying that our sticky table was already clean. YIKES. (BTW, Manager, SIS: you need to go to an office or back closet because you CANNOT show your emotions and frustrations in front of your dining room. It was clear in the air that you had an attitude. But tough luck- YOU SIGNED UP TO WORK HERE). It took forever to get silverware for coffee. It took forever to get silverware for food. The pancakes… let’s just say my butter only melted when I used the warmed syrup which, was being poured out of a super sticky, BROKEN, container. DONT GET ME STARTED ON MY EGGS. I don’t know who’s the chef, but he or she clearly was having a bad day. My eggs were damn near raw. Mind you I asked for scrambled cheese eggs. Another plus: they have American cheese. Throw the whole restaurant away. Fire the staff. Front to Back. Top to bottom. I feel a pitty for those who visit down the harbor and have to endure this place. Go somewhere else. Miss Shirley’s is gross but it’s a BIG STEP UP from here. Just. Do yourselves a favor, take heed to this review, and run away. FAST.

We were on a family visit to the harbor, aquarium, and a couple of Yankees vs Orioles games. We decided to stop in this IHOP to eat lunch after our aquarium visit. What a HUGE mistake... We walked in and the young kid that was the host didn't if say anything. He just looked at us with a "I wish I wasn't here" look on his face, picked up some menus and just started walking. I assumed he was seating us, so I followed him. He put the menus on the table and walked away. I was like....oooookaaaayyyy..... We sat there for about 15 minutes, then a waitress finally came over and took our drink orders. We told her we were ready to order as well. She took our order, but she couldn't quite get it right. She kept repeating it back to us, and it was wrong. After she left, my wife and I just watched as waiters and waitresses hustled back and forth pretty much yelling back and forth at each other throughout the restaurant. We could hear them yelling back and forth at each other in the back as well. It was the most unprofessionally run IHOP I have ever walked into in my life. The waitress finally brought our drinks out after about 20 minutes. She got the drink order wrong, and had to go back to fix it. We sat for another 45 minutes, watching and listening to the employees run around and yell. Finally, our food came out after about an hour. I asked for a refill from our waitress, she said okay, walked away, and never came back. Our meals had waffles and pancakes, but they never gave us syrup. Another waitress walked by. I said, excuse me, can I get some syrup. She completely ignored me. She came back, and I asked again. She said, "That's not my section". We waited another 10 minutes. Our waitress shows back up. I asked for syrup. She says, okay, and walks away. Comes back 5 minutes late with a syrup container that is a few drops from empty. Puts it on the table and walks away. I just looked at my wife and said, this is a joke. At that point, I got up, went looking for my waitress, approached her and asked for my bill. I paid for the meal and left no tip. For that IHOP to be in such a prime location at the Harbor, it is an extremely poorly managed restaurant. Would give it 0 stars...

Stopped in Friday morning around 930am. We were initially greeted and the hostess stayed would be with us in a moment. Ten minutes elapsed and several other groups joined the line waiting to be seated. Eventually another employee came out and seated us. We waited at our table 20 minutes before anyone came over to ask if we wanted drinks or were ready to order. She took our drink order and after another 10 minutes returned with one beverage and said coffee would be several minutes as it was brewing. She then took our order. It was another 30 minutes before she began to bring order to our table and then the main items came separately and several minutes apart after another staff member came around and asked if our order had even been taken. All in all what should have been 30-45 minutes at most from sitting down, ordering, and receiving our food took an hour and a half! And then part of the order was incorrect but by that time we were just ready to eat and leave ASAP. It appeared that many items had been prepared and were waiting to be brought out to tables but the serving staff was more concerned about leaving at the end of their shift then doing their jobs or making sure to hand off our table to another server. Very very disappointing.

Also we were given plastic disposable utensils and ONE napkin each. Totally unacceptable for a sit down restaurant.

Update: After my complaint was forwarded from corporate to the restaurant, I received an email from the assistant general manager. It was a generic apology and a request to try them again in my next visit to Baltimore. Sorry, but no. The lack of any meaningful response to my complaint from either the corporate office or the restaurant itself makes me feel as though legitimate complaints are ignored and brushed aside. I will no longer be dining with IHOP at any location due to this genuine lack of concern from corporate and the restaurant itself where my...
