Today was my girlfriends birthday and I chose this place to be where her birthday dinner will be held at. The staff was very friendly and definitely tried to defuse all the situations we dealt with tonight but after you read what we experienced you’d feel the same as I did. So the hostess greeted us and asked us where we would prefer to sit either the lounge or the dining area. We informed her that it was our first time there. Our waitress though I forget her name at the moment was very friendly and carried herself very professionally. We informed her it was our first time there. After she greeted us and let us know she’d be waiting on us she left to handle another one of her tables. One of the busboys she has in her section brought us water and bread. After digging through the bread and grabbing a piece to butter my girlfriend found a long piece hair. Myself I have dreads. Those of you that know dreads or need a little information on dreads should know if we lose hair it’s tiny hairs or an actual dread. My girlfriend has braids she just got them literally a week ago. Now at first glance I believed it to be her hair she found but a closer look revealed it wasn’t. I gave them benefit of doubt and let it go. I told our waitress and she took the bread away along with the butter. She offered to replace the bread but my girlfriend and I didn’t want it. She then offered us homemade potato chips instead. My girlfriend giving them the benefit of doubt accepted the offer. When the waitress came to take our food order everything was well until she came back after trying to put the order in her system to inform me that the system said they had no more chicken. She went to the kitchen to check for me which I greatly appreciate. You won’t find too many people who will go the extra mile and in my eyes that’s the extra mile because she could’ve just came back and said “the system says we don’t have it so would you like something else” but instead she came to me told me what was going on and went to check for me. Again the staff was very friendly and very professional top notch if I do say so myself. After she checked she came back to tell me the system was wrong and they have chicken so my order could stay the same. I’m not going to lie I was losing my patience with the restaurant. We’ve been at the place maybe 30 minutes and already we’ve found a hair in the food and even though our waitress resolved the issue (again greatly appreciated) there was almost a problem where I could get what I wanted. So maybe 10 minutes pass and my girlfriend tells me “I have to use the restroom”. I call over to one of the bartenders and he immediately stopped what he was doing (he was cleaning something I believe and holding a conversation with a coworker) and showed my girlfriend where the restroom was at(again great staff because he could’ve called someone else or even tried to finish his work or conversation). My girlfriend returned seconds later disgusted. She tells me she went to pull a toilet liner out of the dispenser and a used tampon came out with the liner she grabbed and hit her leg. She didn’t want to tell anyone out of embarrassment but I simply couldn’t let that go on top of everything. I called for another bartender and asked for the manager and he tried to defuse the situation himself but I wanted to speak with the manager to inform him of the experience we had. After talking with the manager he told me he’d take care of the dinner and drink. I told him I wanted to pay for something simply because I’m didn’t want to come into his establishment and stir up the place and leave without paying for anything. The manager insisted I didn’t pay. I thanked him and I decided to take my girlfriend elsewhere and he still sent me home with the food. Again the staff was absolutely phenomenal. They definitely know how to communicate with people here. I’m not the person whose going to tell anyone reading don’t come here because my experience will not be the same as yours. Simply put (for my experience only) everything that glitters is...
Read moreWhen you think of fine dining and service, this is the example to be used. From making a reservation, through leaving for the night after dinner, the entire experience is nothing short of amazing. We visited for our anniversary, and they had asked (as always) if we were celebrating an event when I made the reservation. So upon arrival, the maitre de wished us a Happy Anniversary, and thanked us for sharing the night with them. We were seated at our table which was covered with heart confetti and a greeting card, again wishing us well. Our table attendant Mark was superb. He was incredibly attentive, but not overbearing or annoying. His service felt genuine and it was easy to make small talk and ask questions about anything and everything needed. He made several wine recommendations and made sure to even let us know about savings and upcoming events that might interest us. I inquired about a steak that wasn't on the menu and Mark quickly said they had a very similar cut and that he was sure the chef could recreate the sauce I requested. During dinner, no less than 5 other staff members stopped by to say Happy Anniversary. There's a warm ambience that immediately makes you feel at home here. While it's quite busy, and there's a varied mix of parties, it's never too loud or uncomfortable, just a pleasant buzz. Our steaks were both phenomenal, and the sides (creamed spinach and bacon brussel sprouts) were just as pleasing. We didn't have room for dessert, but were surprised by a plate of molten lava cake a la mode, with Happy Anniversary emblazoned on the platter in chocolate. Even though we were stuffed, we couldn't resist trying the cake. As with dinner, it was scrumptious, perfectly prepared. Thank you Capital Grille for continuing to deliver on a level of service few are able to attain, and most others should find an example. Sometimes there are things in life that are well worth spending extra money on, and the Capital Grille is one of them. Understand that while the meal is exemplary, the service and attention should be a paramount factor in the decision to visit. Thanks again CG for a...
Read moreCame in after making my reservation same day for later that night on a Saturday, it was moderately busy. I missed the valet (which is just out front on the street, a valet box is right behind the sign just park there after turning left at the light) and I was about 7 mins late for my reservation but they still accommodated me. I did have to wait about 15 mins for the table to be ready but the general noise level was low enough I could speak comfortably with my date. Our maitre d' was very wonderful and knowledgeable. We were offered multiple specials and even had multiple questions answered. I ordered the Prosciutto with bread and harvest tomatoes appetizer. My first time having Prosciutto and it was very good. The bread did not want to cut but I didn't really want to eat it with my hands. For my entree I ordered the kona crusted steak with shallot sauce and my date had 2 filet mignon with 2 lobster tail in butter garlic sauce. I also ordered an asparagus that came with a lemon. It appropriately and as stated fed 2. I got 2 cocktails, the Stella dolli and the passion fruit mojito. Did not like the first as it tasted strongly of vodka but the mojito was fantastic after adding the lime. My date doesn't like mojitos and didn't care for the strength of the vodka either. For desert we shared a creme Brule with berries. I really enjoyed the blueberries and the creme Brule. Was also my first time having that and I will definitely get it again. Fast payment and return. When I went to show the valet my ticket my car was on the street at the light and I just had to run back to alert my date they already had it ready. All in all a great experience very tasty food. Good drinks. Delicious dessert. Friendly service and efficient. I wore a button up black and Grey plaid shirt with a nice pair of...
