MaGerk's Pub & Grill Federal Hill — Restaurant in Baltimore

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!! I really didn't want to write this review but after my family and I woke up sick today throwing up n having the food come out of every area of our bodies. I felt that ppl need to know the truth. Mind u I heard nothing but great things about this place and having so many ppl speak highly of there Cheese Steak egg rolls which I'm a sucker for I thought it would be worth the try. First I was told the wait would be 20-25 mins but it took an hour, when our food arrived they still forgot one of our burgers so the overall wait was about an hour n 20 mins. After all the praise the Cheese Steakes Eggs Rolls were a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. Yes they we're stuffed with meat but the meat was dry with very little cheese, even the egg roll wraps had a odd texture to them and i really don't understand why they would give u pizza sause as dip for Cheese Steak egg rolls. The French Fries are complete trash dry, bland, n overcooked they shouldn't be serving these at all literally had to throw them away. The Buffalo wings were slightly overcooked u could smell the burnt edges through the bag, the Fish nuggets were overcooked as well the breading was dark, My lady ordered the Burgers I'm actually on the phone with her right now as she is leaving work early from throwing up one of the Burgers she ate I took a bite of it last night and it was a bit undercooked, dry, and no seasoning. We spent nearly $60.00 dollars on some of the worse food we ever heard I really had high hopes for Magerks but this food literally made me and my family sick as I have been on the toilet all day. I'm not trying to discourage anyone I'm just sharing me and my families...

No more daily food specials, despite what's advertised online. Wait staff pays you no real attention..

I usually tip 20%+, but this waitress/bartender barely paid us any attention after a table of white guys popped up.

She seemed annoyed when she first came to us. She handed us the menus and then dipped off, despite us being ready to order. We called after her to no avail. When she finally came back, she took our app orders, but we were ready to order our full order as well. Had to wait for her to come back. And she fat no idea what we were ordering (said it didn't exist, even though we'd had it many times. She we eventually brought out our direct order, after telling her EXACTLY what we needed.

She barely checked on us and it was primarily after we'd specifically asked for her. We asked for all flats, was told that they didn't do that (despite having it done for us MULTIPLE times at this establishment before). They brought us 15 wings with FOUR flats, so I feel that was intentional. Also 15 wings only gives you ONE dressing. Each additional dressing is 50 cents.

There are a ton more pubs in Bmore that would accommodate us, but this is not one of them.

Unless you're already drunk and/or ready to waste money, save your money and go someplace else. This place only serves to take advantage of people.

ALSOWait until NFL season when they seem to hire folks who actually know and care...

I made the decision to drive for a little over an hour just to give this place a try after hearing amazing things about their cheesesteaks, claiming them to be on par with those in Philadelphia. I can confidently say that it exceeded all of my expectations. Opting for the #1, I found it to be absolutely delicious and exactly as advertised. In addition to that, I also decided to sample their old bay wings and crab dip, both of which turned out to be some of the best wings I've had in a long time. Unlike many other restaurants, they weren't overpriced and offered a generous portion size with tons of flavor. The crab dip was rich with meaty and cheesy goodness. My only minor critique would be that I wished they had tortilla chips available, so as not to fill up on bread. Nonetheless, I am already planning my return visit the next time I find myself in the area. To top it all off, the Jameson Orange crush was the perfect accompaniment to my meal.
