As a half Vietnamese person myself, I am so disappointed and disgraced to even call this restaurant Vietnamese cuisine. The pho was sincerely the worst pho I’ve ever had in my life. The broth was so flavorless and sweet that it’s just sugar water. It’s actually the first time I’ve never drank or finished the broth. I ordered the combo pho, and it was just a bunch of stale meat with rubber tasting “meatballs” plopped on top of overcooked noodles. My partner had the rare steak pho, but the “rare” meat was overcooked and tough as boots as well. What’s the point of charging your bowls $11-12 when clearly there is not even any effort put into preparing the broth or cooking the ingredients properly? My dollar store tea bags are more flavorful than this. The owner was not very friendly nor offered knowledgeable advice. I told him my pho was way too sweet and that I need something like fish sauce to balance it out, but he tried giving me hoisin sauce when hoisin sauce will actually make it sweeter. I am honestly in disbelief that this business has 4.6 stars. I’d rather pay more money for less disgusting quality. This literally ruined my day and left a bad taste in my mouth. I’ll just stick to Pho...

Let me start by saying I rarely review food places, but the food here was so good that I felt compelled to share.

I previously thought that I didn’t like Pho, because of the many times I have tried it in the past I have been very underwhelmed and disappointed. This however was not the case at Mekong Delta Cafe.

The portion sizes are VERY generous, the prices are reasonable and the food is absolutely excellent. I had the Pho Ga, and my partner had the Hu Tieu Tom, both of which had extremely flavorful broths and some of the freshest ingredients I have seen from any carry out restaurant. As other reviews have mentioned, both broths (beef & chicken) do have a slight sweetness to them, but it is done in a way that complements the soup and it is not overpowering whatsoever.

The Grilled Tofu & Vegetable rolls are massive and very fresh. Paired with a delicious peanut sauce they make for a very fresh & enjoyable appetizer.

If youre on the fence, give this place a shot. It completely changed the way I feel about Pho and other Vietnamese noodle soups for the better and I will definitely be back...

You know what, man. This is THE BEST pho in the entire city of Baltimore. Probably maryland, too. Probably the DMV area, honestly. Hands down, no questions asked. Leave your ego at the door because this is an extremely unfussy, divey, diamond in the rough. This unassuming pho spot will serve you amazingly flavorful broth with authentic vietnamese spices that jump out to dance on your taste buds. Don't cover up the soup with hoison sauce and Sriracha until you try it plain first, you noob. There's a Mastercrafted depth of flavor that is to be appreciated here. A little respect, please? Perfectly authentic pho with hints of the owners personality shining through that separates it from your run of the mill pho spot. Generous servings of meat, perfectly tender tendon (who makes tendon taste good??? This is the only place, honestly.) Immaculately crafted pho broth with punchy lime, perfect sweetness, waves of umami, I cannot say enough. This is pho. No doubt. If you eat here more than once, then bruce (the owner) will magically just remember you. The soul here is real, and the people...

Took me a bit to realize this is in the food court at Charles Plaza. Food came out quickly after ordering, maybe 5 minutes. 2 people were waiting for their orders ahead of me and all came out quickly. This seemed like the busiest of the businesses here. I ordered the combination vermicelli. Delicious! One seemed to have a curry spice mixture, maybe the chicken? The noodles can be bland if you don't mix it well with the nuoc cham sauce and hot sauce provided. I didn't taste the nuoc cham alone, but my noodles came out a bit wet and bland in some parts. The cilantro and bean sprouts add a refreshing component, though I understand if you don't like these ingredients, this will not be a highlight for you. plenty of seating around since there wasn't much going on for the other businesses on a Friday around 1pm. no comment on the parking situation since I did not drive nor find parking. overall a delicious, quick, and filling meal, well worth the price. I would definitely get this again if I come by, though I am curious about the summer rolls and pho options.

It was a very windy and cold day, perfect for Pho. Searched Google for something close and found this place. Reviews were good so worth a try. Anyone unfamiliar with the area may find it a little tricky to find. Anyone familiar with the area, well…. If you know you know. It’s in the food court off of Charles Street in downtown Baltimore so it’s open to anyone who wants to stroll through. Employees were super friendly and inviting. The prices were fantastic. Anyone who eats Pho regularly knows some bowls are upwards of $16.00. The bowls were large and so were the portions for $11.00. The Pho was fresh, hot, and delicious. Had a very unique and distinct flavor compared to other places I’ve tried. The lemon grass beef wraps were huge and also reasonably priced. Overall an excellent lunch.

My friends recommended this place, so I came; please see my comment on the difficult parking issues below. I ordered the flavorful seafood noodle soup 🍜 with ice coffee. I enjoyed it very much...there were a lot of shrimp in the soup, with scallops. The service is quick, and they do take credit card payment. The only thing I didn't like was the "stained" bowl. I think they've been using the SAME SET of BOWLS for at least a decade because you can actually see the dark, brown rim stain; see picture. I'm sure it's well cleaned with dishwashing detergent, but it doesn't look pleasing to the eyes...in fact it looks quite dirty. If you can get past this, you'll enjoy the flavorful food. I probably won't be back due to the expensive $12 parking at the food court center.
