I had an amazing whoopie pie flavored ice cream with a milk chocolate dipped waffle cone. And then another day I had the Husky lover ice cream flavor with another milk chocolate dipped waffle cone. This place is a bit pricy as I paid $10 for a small, but you get a lot of food and it tastes amazing, it’s definitely worth the price. The waffle cones are quite big and the chocolate dipped cones are heavily coated in the chocolate, there is a very thick layer of chocolate on the dipped waffle cones. The mix ins taste well and the base flavor of the ice cream is amazing as well. With the whoopie pie flavor there were lots of pieces of actual whoopie pie that was soft and moist, the husky lover had massive pieces of soft chocolate covered pretzels and the peanut butter swirl was delicious. The staff can be a bit rude at times but as they’re under pressure so I am understanding. I did have a bit of an issue where when I asked for a chocolate dipped cone the nice lady serving me asked if I wanted a dark chocolate dipped waffle cone or a milk chocolate dipped waffle cone, but due to her thick accident I could not understand what she was saying. In the end I figured it out and it was all fine, it wasn’t an inconvenience, she didn’t mess up my order and I got what I had wanted. Even though there was a long line it moved very fast and no mistake was made with my order. I highly...
Read moreI was excited to try the ice cream here, and upon entering the shop I was corralled into a narrow passageway in an effort to create an orderly line. I looked up at the menu to pick out a flavor and was horrified to see that a kiddie was $8, and if I wanted a waffle cone it would be $12. I looked behind me, but it was too late, other customers had arrived and with no room to walk past them and out of the shop I was forced to continue forward. Like a pig going to slaughter, I moved along until it was my turn. I decided to try the pumpkin pie flavor, and the smell of waffle cones in the air was enough to convince me to try one. The first few bites were enjoyable, but I quickly encountered a large piece of frozen pumpkin pie. After a few bites of just pie I wondered where there was more ice cream, so I took out the pie only to discover an empty void. I understand that pumpkin pie was the flavor I ordered, but if I go out to get ice cream I expect there to actually be some in my cone. I ended up tossing the rest I was so disappointed. The waffle cone itself was nice, but overall it was the most expensive and worst “ice cream” I’ve ever had. The shop was cute and the candies they had looked nice, particularly the fudge, but if you’re going there for ice cream take your...
Read moreIt was a really cool place to visit - it felt like an establishment and had all the kookiness you'd expect from a popular mom & pop candy store. I can definitely imagine others having a great experience, ours just didn't happen to be.
We ordered candied fruit slices, a hot chocolate, and a cappuccino.
First, take a look at the front window... we ate outside and happened to look at it and we saw live little cockroaches walking around. I took a photo, but I don't want to post it here and have it appear alongside all the other photos. Take a look yourself and you'll find dozens of dead insects and cockroaches drying out....
Fruit slices: The thin ones were crazy hard. When I asked the (very nice) lady working the candy section about them, she said that since COVID they've been coming in hard from the supplier... SO maybe that's purposeful but they tasted stale.
Hot chocolate: It was oddly lukewarm.
Cappuccino: Great
This place has the makings of a 5-star place, and I can totally see this being a one-off poor experience, and I...
