BLUF: The wait staff is not organized or attentive. They don't have the restaurant properly zoned and the each of the wait staff have tables all over the restaurant. Staying at the Marriott, this restaurant is in a convenient location. The next nearest restaurant is 3 to 5 miles away, so you options are limited. We ate here twice in the evening after a day at the park. On the 1st day I had to go to the bar after waiting for 15 mins for the waitress to come back around and ask for the bill. The bar tender couldn't give me my bill and went and let the waitress know. Ended up waiting another 15 mins and then only got our ticket because I went and stood by the ticket station and waited until someone else came by. On the second day, we ordered our food and waited for an hour to get our food served. After 30 mins we started watching 3 or 4 other tables who arrived after we did get their food. I went in and asked what the status of our order was and was told there had been an issue with their ticketing system and our food would be coming out shortly. It arrived 30 mins later but was delivered without utensils and I had to go and ask for some. The food was good if it's any consolation. We will not eat in this restaurant ever again. I think they know their clients are generally only a one visit client so they don't care, at least that's the vibe I get. I suggest getting in your car and going...
Read moreI saw the negative reviews and I, being someone who's not hard to please, chalked it up to folks being dramatic.
I also rarely admit when I'm wrong...
But...
I was wrong, the food is awful. I should have known when I walked in with my family and there was hardly anyone there at prime dinner time (maybe 3-4 other patrons/hotel guests), the second warning sign was when the server still took almost ten minutes to acknowledge us despite the fact that the place was essentially empty. At this point I'm looking past everything as I'm starving and already mentally committed.
Food came out, my shrimp lacked any real texture (either overcooked or at the end of its shelf life) and tasted more like oil than shrimp, my wife's sandwich had bread that was stale and hard, one kids chicken tenders were of the same quality chicken you could get at McDonald's and the other kids burger was cooked so long it resembled the texture of styrofoam.
Seventy some-odd dollars later (that's after a 15% comp because I told them the food was awful), trust me when I say this, drive the 10-15 minutes and find better food, better service, and you may still end up...
Read moreYou have to think of this at a resort bar. It’s in between 2 hotels and right next to the pool. The convenience of location is hard to beat. We came at 8pm on a Sunday and there were about 7 other tables including a large party. We were told to sit at any table. Our server Valeria greeted us quickly and was extremely friendly. She also brought waters without us having to ask. We ordered chicken wings and a Philly cheesesteak that came out quickly and were piping hot when it got to the table. Chicken wings were the star of the show! Naked (no breading), well done, extra crispy skin?! Delicious!! The buffalo sauce came on the side which kept the wings extra crispy. Even the celery was fresh and came with a good side of bleu cheese. The Philly was served on a soft French baguette and had fresh peppers and mushrooms on it. Fries were very good as well. Is this restaurant going to be your cheapest option? No. But can you leave your room in a onesie, sit comfortably and get great service and a...
