(2-2-2021)Update: So it’s 2 days later and no one has bothered to contact me about this order that I was charged $25.25 for and never received. (Yes someone commented under this post as the “owner” and asked me to email them and they was sorry about what happened.)Well I did email them with my order number and they did not contact me. I contacted the store today about my refund and after going back and forth with the manager who kept insisting I contact DoorDash and I told her I did and was told that smoothie king would be refunding me because they didn’t have my information to refund me, the manager told me the same thing about them saying she didn’t have my card information to refund me even though I paid on smoothie kings website and had no idea I was even dealing with DoorDash. Then she said all she could refund me was for the price of the smoothies and not the delivery fee or tip which was around $12.00 or so. This is very unacceptable and she also stated that this has happened before with DoorDash not delivering the customers orders. So I told her they should be warning there customers “Hey you might not get your order or money back “ since we are there customers not DoorDash customers and like I stated before there website does not indicate at all that your dealing with a 3rd party company for your delivery. I requested to speak with the owner since the manager could only short change me instead of giving me the amount I paid to smoothie king on there website. So we’ll see how much longer they wait to get this matter resolved.
(1-31-2021) Very disappointed. I ordered 2 med. smoothies was charged a total of 25.25 which also included a delivery fee, service fee, tip fee, and taxes. Waited 2 hours and after I called the store only to find out that supposedly DoorDash picked the order up but it never made it to me. Then the associate had to call her manager about getting me a refund and she called me back to tell me her manager said I needed to call DoorDash myself for a refund. When I didn’t even know I was dealing with DoorDash to being with because the smoothie kings website does not mention anything at all about DoorDash. I asked her to have the manager call me and she called me back to tell me the manager said she would look at my information the next day. All this was very unacceptable customer service and like I told the clerk they didn’t wait until the next day to take my money so I shouldn’t have to wait to get my money refunded. Basically the End result is I did not receive a refund and now I have to wait until they decide to refund me $25.25 for 2 medium smoothies that I never received and was charged all these fees for. This is ridiculous and I want be back to this location or franchise owner location again. Very unacceptable and I’m sure the manager is the owners daughter and nothing will be said about this behavior and poor customer service that’s why she didn’t feel the need to at least contact me herself and get the issue resolved today as it...
Read moreI went last night, 01-14-19 and when I walked in, I was looking forward to being able to get a smoothie as a meal replacement. It was a bit busy when I went in which was a great sign. However, I soon realized, it wasn't that it was busy, it was that it was social time apparently. There were 3 workers, 2 young ladies and a young man. There were 2 ladies that I thought were customers who were standing at the middle glass, almost like they were looking over the divider. One of them, whose hair was in a messy ponytail and was dressed in workout clothes walked very much on a mission, behind the counter, appearing to dig around, looking for something specific. None of the employees stopped her so I'm assuming she worked there (though she was dressed in gym clothes and not appropriate for being behind the counter). There were 3 people ahead of me, that was fine, it was crowded over in that area due to the 2 ladies blocking the way and it being a small area. I was finally able to place my order and thankful that once I was able to tell the young lady working what I was wanting, she was able to tell me a couple of options. I paid for my smoothie and proceeded over by the door to wait. It did get busy but the 2 young ladies who had been at the middle area the entire time were still there. The young man was just visiting. I will say that people finally did begin receiving their smoothies. After about 20 minutes, the group of 3 finally had all of their smoothies. The 2 girls who had been waiting appeared to be wrapping up their social time, one then proceeded again to walk behind the counter, this time towards the back where the refrigerators were instead of directly behind the counter this time, they finally realized I was still waiting, asked what I had and realized the group of 3 had taken a wrong smoothie and had to make me another one. It needs to be more organized. once I got my smoothie and left I was aggravated that it had taken nearly 30 minutes. I understand wait times, I don't understand standing around socializing and allowing customers to walk around the place as they please, in all areas. I will return, at some point, hopefully by then there will be more...
Read moreThis location must get busy because there were actually 2 employees managing the counter (lol unless I'm just sooo used to the single employee at the Sheldon location 😅 ). That's good though because there were 3 guests ahead of me, but service was quick 💪
I only ever order the CARRIBEAN WAY because strawberry/banana smoothies are my go-to and this one is the closest in flavor, and it's the sweetest I've ever tried. I made an effort to try other flavors before, but I dont like wasting the money if I don't like it, and usually i go by myself. NOT a fan of chocolate, peanut butter or bitter flavors, so I really love the Carribean Way.
Compared to other smoothie shops, SK was always kinda pricey for me, and I make alot of my own smoothies at home. so, it was one of those places I rarely treated myself to.
However, after trying alot of other boba shops overtime, Smoothie King is just the most consistent in its product 💛 it didnt matter if it'd been years between visits, the Carrribean Way was still there AND the same as it was 20 years ago.
2025: even though I make my own smoothies at home (spinach, frozen fruit & water, no sweeteners), I sometimes go to SK, order the 44oz Caribbean Way, take it home, add it to my spinach smoothies, stretch it out into 12 servings, and that'll last me a week 😍
Doing this, the Carribean Way adds that little bit of sweetness to my smoothies that I cant always recreate with my at home ingredients. Vice versa, adding my ingredients to the Carribean Way cuts the sweetness down and allows me enjoy my favorite drink longer.
Overall, so long as the Caribbean Way is around, I'll keep coming...
