I got the Bacon and Blue... With no pancetta... I asked twice and she said she would. At first I was having a tough time ordering because of the first three girls working on my order while working on the customer in front of me, they were also working on an online order. To confuse things more the girl in the middle of those two didn't know what she was doing and kept asking both girls on either side of her how to do things. She must be new but it was difficult to try giving my order when it's divided amongst the three of them.. I was also working between them on two salads I was trying to purchase. Now down the line the other two on the line were trying to ring me out but I wasn't done ordering. I still needed two Padia Pepperoni Sticks and an order of three meatballs in Pomadoro Sauce. Whole explaining to them the additional items I wanted they got them but the meatballs were plain and naked in a to go container without sauce... Distracted by the two trying to ring me out I missed that not one of the first three put any pancetta Bacon on my "BACON & Blue" Salad. I told the other two at the end of the line I would like the Melon Drink that was back behind the counter. I meanwhile had to make sure that the other three got my Pepperoni bread sticks. When I went to finally check out one of the two end line people handed me an empty cup to fill my drink... THAT WAS BEHIND THE COUNTER WHERE SHE WAS!!! When I finally got home to eat my Bacon & Blue salad... It had no Bacon... Little Blue Cheese and was drenched in so much salad dressing I couldn't taste the Blue Cheese... A flavor as strong as Blue Cheese was overwhelmed by the dressing... What I tasted in regard to my salad could have been duplicated with the dressing and shredded crepe paper... They were supposed to put grated Parmesan on the meatballs but apparently the stress of putting the Pomadoro Sauce was just too much... I was exhausted trying to keep an I on all of the line workers and could have more expeditiously created the bowls had I just gone around to the other side of the counter and make them myself... My roommate's salad was perfect since it was the first one and I could keep an eye on it. Mine being second and interspersed with three people splitting the tasks between themselves and the online order just turned everything into a "Fuster Cluck"... Fine food ingredients from the chefs (if they give them to you) but poor execution of the final product... Horrible...
Read moreI have been eating here pretty consistently every few weeks since the start of summer, last night was absolutely disgusting and may be one of the worst food experience I have had in a long time. Starting with zero greeting when walking up to the counter, she slapped the wrap on to the counter and continued to do the same with every single ingredient for the BLT wrap, till we got to the sauce which she completely overloaded on to the wrap. So with a lack of ingredients slapped in and an overwhelming amount of sauce it was hard to eat. The counter where the food was being made looked like it had not been cleaned off since the first shift in the morning with food and sauce everywhere and pieces of food falling into wrong containers for who knows what kind of food contamination. The sauce bottles couldn't even be used at one point because it was covering the side she tossed it and had someone get a whole new one. Missing ingredients from the salad and wrap, order a pepperoni roll that she wrapped up at the start and then "forgot" at the end and gave me an attitude when I asked if it was rang up and added to the bag. Every single person encountered was rude and looked like they hated their jobs and absolutely didn't want to make the food. The bathrooms were even worse with toilet paper everywhere, pee on the seat and a toilet that looks like it also had not been flushed all day. Overall I am most concerned for the food safety at this establishment as I have never seen a Piada let alone any other restaurant like this with the counter so disgusting and unkempt. Previously the manager had always been present in the evenings and I that was making a big difference. We will not be returning to...
Read moreSo I got to Piada a few minutes early for my curbside order, so I waited in the car as it tells you to do on the website. I waited. And waited. And waited.
Half an hour goes by and I go in. No food. I go back out to my car to check my phone to see when I placed the order for and to make sure I had the right location. Still no food after another 20 minutes.
I go back inside to speak to someone and it turns out that some jerk stole my order off the pickup counter and just walked out with it. If I have one suggestion, it would be to have a security camera put on the the pickup area, and maybe keep larger and curbside orders behind the counter, of which this was both.
Thankfully, the team remade my order, even during dinner rush, in about 10 minutes. Super fast for the size of the order. The order had already been filled so they had to go mostly off of memory, so there were a couple of things missing. These things happen. Thankfully, they gave me a free drink while I waited. Their peach tea is REALLY GOOD.
I called the store and Kelly very happily told me that they would replace the items since I was still in Beachwood and able to come back in. I came back about ten minutes later and picked up what was missing, no problem.
When I got home, my wife and I said grace and dug in. Let me tell you, in all seriousness, that this was WELL worth the wait and all of the trouble. We could have gotten cannoli chips alone and it would have been worth it, haha
Everything was delicious and so fresh, and we will definitely be coming back. Thank you so much. You all went above and beyond to make a crummy experience a wonderful one, and for that, you have my gratitude.
Until...
