Incredible sushi restaurant in a quaint unassuming setting. The place itself is a little hidden gem off from the main streets of Beaverton. We just so happened to have reserved dinner on their last night of the year before they go on break. Definitely need a reservation! The restaurant itself is tiny inside, very tight with limited capacity. Husband & wife owned and operated. It was really cool to see the dry ager cabinet full of thick cuts of maguro, toro, A5 wagyu, and amberjack/yellowtail. Service was very prompt and nice, with complimentary barley tea. We ordered hon maguro nigiri, negi toro handroll, Yuubi (unagi & tempura) handroll, Yuki maki-roll, Red pocket (maguro inari), the tonkatsu-don, and finally the mini-donburi with uni, otoro and ikura! All the fish was so fresh and succulent. The sushi rice was perfectly seasoned, and the katsu was incredibly crispy on the outside yet juicy on the inside. Finally, the star of the meal was the opulent mini-donburi that has Japan imported uni (sea urchin), fatty otoro tuna, and house-marinated ikura (salmon caviar). Every bite was an explosion of umami and flavor in your mouth. Be sure to get the hand-grated real wasabi on the side. Don't come here hungry like we did, or else it'll get really expensive! It is on the pricier side, but it fully justifies the quality of fish and authenticity. For what we ordered for two, we left happily full at around $75/person before drinks. There is a small 5 or 6 seat chef's counter at the sushi bar. You're coming here for the nigiri and sushi, not for ramen or udon as they don't even have any standard entrée/kitchen fare besides the tonkatsu, karaage and gyoza. The restaurant has a very chill/casual vibe to it with simple décor and bright aesthetic which is quite the contrast to the level of sushi it serves. Highly recommended, definitely worth a visit for date night/special occasion or just for some high...

This was my first visit to the Portland area, and I was really hoping to find some fresh seafood. After searching around Beaverton and Hillsboro without much luck, I finally came across Yuubi Sushi—and I’m so glad I did!
When we arrived, I noticed the restaurant was on the smaller side, with only three or four parking spaces on the side. Luckily, there was additional street parking just a few steps away. Inside, it’s a cozy and immaculately clean spot with just nine tables and two sushi rollers working behind the counter. We got there around 5:30, and aside from one other couple, we had the place almost to ourselves.
The service was fantastic—two young women with big smiles, wonderful attitudes, and top-notch professionalism. They were polite, helpful, and honestly, just fun to interact with. Right away, they made sure we had everything we needed and even customized all of our rolls with soy paper instead of nori for my dining companion.
Now, let’s talk about the food—because it was next-level: • Hon Maguro (Dry-Aged Japanese Bluefin Tuna) – Insanely fresh, melt-in-your-mouth, and just high-quality perfection. • Hamachi (Yellowtail from Japan) – Excellent. Two pieces for $20, and worth every penny. • Crazy Boss Roll – A beer-battered tempura shrimp roll topped with spicy tuna, eel sauce, and spicy mayo. Fantastic. • Spidey Roll – Another tempura-battered roll, this time with soft-shell crab. Absolutely delicious. • Miso Soup – Perfectly comforting on a cold evening. • Truffle Tuna Roll – I don’t remember the exact name, but wow—fresh, flavorful, and an absolute must-try.
Overall, this was an amazing experience. I’d absolutely bring my group of chefs here for the super fresh tuna and incredible service. Yuubi Sushi is truly a hidden gem, and it makes me wish I was a local!

Read moreWhen me and my family arrived at this place, the server acted in a way that was very aggressive, un-empathetic and unprofessional. Upon arrival we noticed the tables have a QRCode for the menu. I asked the server if they have physical menus, she answered with a smirk that they don't. I asked if they would offer they're wifi password, again, with anger she answered they do not share their internet with guests with a condescending and dismissing attitude.
Throughout our stay, the server gave us a feeling that we are unwelcome in the establishment, acting rudely to our children, this was drastically contrasting with her behavior with other restaurant guests that share her ethnic background. In short it seemed like the server and workers of this restaurant acted differently towards us in a way that felt DISCRIMINATORY and humiliating towards our family.
Any attempts from me and my family to ease the tension were met with aggression and passive aggressive behavior, eventually the environment became so toxic we decided to leave, however we feel the responsibility to share and bear testimony of what we endured.
I strongly suggest the owner and the employees associated with this place of business educate themselves on inclusion and hospitality and immediately rectify their behavior.
A previous post I made bringing awareness to the staff of the restaurant was replied to with a message of denial of their behavior, they didn't apologize or try to make amends and that to me is deeply concerning.
An establishment that openly discriminates has no place in our society and I invite you too to take a stand and think if this is a business you...
