I recall walking into the Bedford location when they reopened after being closed and the new owner telling me why it was previously closed (poor service and no staff) and saying you'll never need to worry about that again. For the 2nd time in a year we chose to spend more ans order Jets for delivery. The 1st time we received our pizza by an uber eats driver they retrieved our what would turn out to be cold pizza from the trunk of their car. HUGE flag there but we accepted the pizza and that was that. Several months later (tonight) we try delivery for a 2nd time. Ordering online went fine amd cost was higher than other local pizza places but expected with the quality. Estimated delivery time quoted was 40 min. "Estimate" we gave a soft cushion for any time between 40 min to and hour. After 1.5 hours we call the Bedford location and speak with Gavin, who stated "oh yea, we sent it out with the only driver we had and he left the store at 6 amd you're his 1st stop". It was 6:30 by the time the delivery driver showed up, we had called the location 5 min prior to tell them we wanted a full refund and didn't want the order and why (driver still wasn't there). We told the driver we canceled the order, he was unaware but said ok and left. Had we taken the order and paid full cost we would have paid yet again for OVERPRICED cold pizza. No one seemed to care one bit about how over the estimated time they were and didn't care that our pizza would be cold. Speaking with Cal when we ordered he seemes unbothered with us canceling and the fact that I mentioned this is the 2nd time of poor service. Do better for as much as you charge and the cost of things now days. I say this new owner will face the same fate as the original owner. If people spend their hard earned money especially now days on extras like eating out, it doesn't have to be perfect but it should definitely be good if not great service and accountability for...
Read moreCame out from California to visit with aunt here in Texas. Craving pizza one night I was told there is no good pizza in Texas. I did a quick google search and stumbled upon Jets. With Boston family routes and growing up in Southern California pizza is a weekly staple in our family.
I ordered the Detroit style with Pepperoni, Mushroom, Pineapple & Jalapeños & Side salad.
The employee was great and patient with me… I had questions. lol he was kind and SUPER knowledgeable.
Everything was AMAZING!!! Yum in so many ways, great for diner, breakfast or lunch cold or hot it was great in so many ways!
I have told everyone I know in Texas that they need to try it! I called my son and just picked him up a small to take back to him in Cali, pepperoni & Italian sausage. Honestly I ONLY tried the Detroit style, but they also have NY style which my aunt is trying in the near future, oh and you get to add different flavors to your crust, again didn’t do this, but also if you order online you can choose if you want it cooked a little longer or a little less. I’m a regular girl, but I’ve never see any pizza place offering that. Heck, you can even text in your order and get a discount!
If you haven’t tried JET PIZZA, don’t wait, you deserve the yum! Thanks Jet can’t wait till my next...
Read moreBedford was where I became a Texan and this small city has always had that vibe. 25 years later, I drop in the pickup an eats order and scheme to grab a slice if it wasn’t a big issue. I heard about this place. 2 corners of cheese Detroit style and ranch.
The flavors and textures were on point. Sauce and cheese. Someone snuck in the some oregano.
I advocate for driver rights and treatment as there is a disconnect when it comes to restaurant and delivery drivers. It’s a Vendor/Contractor relationship utilizing Uber/DoorDash/other apps as a third party to facilitate and manage the transaction.
Restaurants treat drivers poorly where this establishment bridged that gap by offering a couple slices of pizza for free. I intended to pay and only would have ordered if my current order was hot and ready to go.
A self-serve water or tea station has shown success in other markets. A cheese stick for a driver may cut down on driver theft. A jets pizza bag raffle will keep the goods in warm.
The idea is to create driver loyalty and in return, your customers orders are delivered with care and that breadstick or sweet tea in mind.
Drivers and Restaurants can do great things with a third-party. Those apps can continue to do...
