Breathing very heavy while writing this review because I'm absolutely painstakingly full! However, I wanted to write this review while freshly overly satisfied!
Lindsey was our host for the evening. Navigating us to our stupendous choices!
Let's start from the top! DRINKS!
A coworker of mine order the Huckleberry Lemon Drop, and I ordered the Pear Moscow Mule. Both delicious! I tasted her lemon drop and it had a nostalgic taste of Blueberry Sour Patch, in the most positive and delicious way. The Pear Moscow Mule was absolutely delicious, perfectly balanced and cut that strong ginger taste the mule traditionally has.
Next up Appetizers.
I didn't get to make this choice because it honestly wouldn't have been my go to pick but we split the Brie. It was good, a nice creamy brie with seasoned toast, roasted garlic and grapes. It was very good but honestly you can get brie anywhere.... Try something more exciting!
DRUM ROLL PLEASE
Now the stars of the show...... well, it's close between the entree and the dessert.
But entrees, Lindsey was very helpful with this selection. She read the specials and had me at lamb.
I ordered the lamb chops, with mashed potatoes and asparagus. We were traveling for work and sometimes I look for an item that has mashed potatoes just for that simple comfort food. Their mashed potatoes were delicious like they make them better than I do.... And I make scrumptious mashed potatoes. But we are really here to talk about the lamb chops! Ordered medium and cooked to absolute perfection. I was glad we were in the back room because I picked these meat lollipops up and ate them right off the bone, you know to get all the good stuff! The portion was huge! I managed to get down a little more than half but this meal should really be for 2! I even ordered another cocktail to you know work up that liquid courage to try and finish my plate.... It didn't happen but I felt terrible wasting it.
One coworker ordered the Salmon, and another the filet. I'm sorry I don't have a ridiculous description for these other than they both kept saying "Oh my god, this is so good!"
None of us were able to finish our meal but you know what!?! It was Monday night so that means dessert!
One coworker the whole dinner kept talking about Crème brûlée, the other was like eh I don't what that, let's see what this Hula pie is about..... ok, I was assuming from the name it was going to be some kind of coconut or pineapple pie. Delicious I'm sure but not what we had in mind. We asked Lindsey she said oh the Hula Pie is my favorite do that one!!! So what did we do? We ordered both! Crème brûlée was good of course but that Hula pie..... man...... that Hula pie! Have you ever had sex so good you were speechless? Ok, well that was this pie!
Everything was so good! Atmosphere was great, service was excellent and the food was exceptional!
For sure...

Our server was very knowledgeable and patient with us as half of our group hadn't arrived yet. We ordered drinks and then bread was brought out with butter which is always a nice touch. Now, here's where things get bad, I had noticed that they had a Japanese A5 Wagyu on their menu at one point, so I asked about it and they did in fact have it that evening as a special. Well, I've had Japanese A5 Wagyu at STK and Flemings as well as bought it online and at Costco and made it at home...the orders went in and everyone's food started to come out, my dish unfortunately after cutting into it, was not A5 in the capacity of what I've received in the past. The server quickly tried to rectify and the manager came over to apologize and let me know that they had given me the "knuckle" cut of the A5 which for those of you that don't know is not the most tender cut of the meat. They then brought out a raw piece that was a more premium cut and I looked at it and it did appear to have the marbling but after the 2nd steak came out, it was overdone and to be perfectly honest, did not taste like any Japanese A5 Wagyu I've ever had. For those that haven't had it, it should just melt in your mouth. They also put a sauce over the top of it, which feels like a crime with A5. I'd love to see the certificate of the Japanese A5 Wagyu that they use and see where it's coming from. Also, serving the lower quality meat to a customer just seems criminal considering the overall cost of the meat. That was partially my mistake for not asking which cut of meat it was to ensure I would be happy, but still serving the Knuckle to clientele, meh.
I digress, honestly the manger took off 50% of my meal to rectify the situation but I would not recommend coming here for the Japanese A5 Wagyu. Everyone else's dishes were good and there were no complaints but when advertising Japanese A5 Wagyu, I'd be careful ordering.
Service and atmosphere was great, and aside from my dish I think everyone was happy so take the review more on the side of just my experience, but overall probably...
Read moreCame into the Brickhouse because according to Google maps. Was equal quality to our local Portland City Grill. Upon arriving it took several minutes for our server to greet us at the table. Thankfully we were approached first buy the busboy who filled our Waters. And brought bread basket to our table..He was more attentive to our needs than our server was. We came in for a special evening celebration, and throughout the meal it just seemed to go downhill.. our server had served our salad as we requested. but upon arrival of our entree he had requested us to move our salad plates so that he could put down our entrees. When he had sat down the two plates noticeably one of them was not ours. We had requested to share the 17 Oz ribeye steak with baked potato and vegetables. And according to the server there were no baked potatoes available.. so he offered the mashed potatoes which were horrible.. the best part about the meal was the steak it was very tasty and cooked to perfection. When asked if we wanted dessert. I had asked if they had creme brulee the server said yes I said well could we take a look at the dessert menu. We never got the menu he did deliver creme brulee assuming that I wanted it. again for the second time I had to ask for the dessert menu we ended up ordering the molten lava cake which was served hot and oozing with chocolate was delicious. When our bill arrived we had noticed that we were charged double for the salad that we had shared.. when I asked for a manager he approached our table after hanging out at the bar top. Maybe he was nursing his injured arm. (Was in sling) he seemed to care but didn't ...He corrected the mistake on the bill and that was it.. I would expect more from an upscale establishment. After experiencing a mediocre $120 dinner I don't think...
