There are lots of places to eat in Bend. Do not miss this one. OK, it is cheese, and sausage, and divine green beans - charcuterie (yes, I had to look up that word), but it doesn't really capture what is happening at San Simón. This is one of those places that you can tell they are "doing it on purpose." Everything is done right. And the drinks are made to perfection - I highly recommend the Executive Lounge, although When Icarus Strikes was tempting. We sat at a four chair table which doubles as a fire pit if the weather is brisk. These are placed in an alley as are four or five other closeted booths, that give you that, I am in a cool place in Spain or Italy feeling. The bar it self is made for the witness protection program or an illicit tryst. Quite dark and sexy. Service was perfect; Taylor the manager, came out to say hello and get our second drink order....

Went with a friend on a Sunday afternoon after the High Desert Museum. Ambience was dark and salon-like/intimate. Their music selection was diverse, offbeat, and not going to lie I got really excited when they played one song that was a theme song of a podcast I was really into haha.

Staff were all chill and friendly and attentive. Brea(?) knew her regulars & the cocktail menu well, while still making me feel very welcome and happily greeted as a first-time patron. Total bun. 🙏 👯‍♀️ Naturally had to go with the maple syrup cocktail as a raised Vermonter, but look forward to exploring some other yummy creations in the future. Several of the mocktails looked very tasty as well. Love that trend....

Great SF North Beach kind of vibe. Batch made Old fashioned to die for and a huge list of creative beverages, including non alcoholic. Indoors is cozy, well set up for distance dining, but only about 4 tables.. Outdoor alley is all theirs. Tall tables, dogs permitted. Recently built cozy shelters with heaters soon to come. There's an awesome street artisan/thrift market on the weekends, and I've heard they occasionally show outdoor movies. Food is fantastic! Build your own boards of cheeses, meats, smoked and pickled treats with a hunk of Sparrow bread and butter. Minors permitted until 8 or 9. Super cool servers. It's a place I feel lucky to know...

Incredible drinks and menu. The bartenders are wizards who can match your desires - want something with Chartreuse? Check. Banana and egg white? Check. Even on a busy Friday night, service is prompt and attentive and the bartenders take the time to explain what you've ordered. Every drink I had was wonderful - gin, rum, whiskey, liquer, sweet, spirit forward, you name it. There isn't a bad or mediocre thing on the menu. If I could give a 6th star I could - this is among the best west coast cocktail bars I've been to, along the likes of Kro Bar in Seattle and Smugglers' Cove in SF.

Our son and his wife were so excited to take us to This cool back alley cocktail bar. He and his wife are 26 and accidentally left his wallet at home. He had a photo of his ID. They refused service without ID which I understand. But when he tried a sip of his wife’s drink the waiter ran over and grabbed his shoulder and said “hey bud I can’t have you sipping anything without ID” At least he had a nice half glass of warm water to enjoy. Drinks were well made though and he gave us some courtesy drinks at the end when he realized I was unhappy. Still it was a disappointment.

our server Alisa was so kind! I don’t normally leave reviews but her service is exceptional so I felt she deserved some praise! The music was a bit loud because I was sitting next to the speaker and she graciously turned it down a little bit for me. So kind! I also ordered a drink I didn’t particularly like and she helped me with a new recommendation and got me a drink I really did enjoy! Every step of the process she was so attentive and nice. I hope you have her as your server if you get the pleasure of coming here!
