Took my girlfriend here for her 21st birthday. BIG MISTAKE. She has a valid current Oregon ID and the bartender questioned it, which is fine I don't mind. My problem started when she called down security, reasked for the ID, and demanded we wait for it to be looked at again to insure it's not a fake. The "security guard" was arrogant jerk who wanted to make a lesson out of the whole ordeal. Scanned the ID over for about 5 minutes questioning things about it (I work for OLCC I know what things to look for when checking an ID. I'm trained and certified to train people to card others. )This man takes her ID and starts digging into it with his finger. I told him to give the ID back and he refused. So I mentioned to him I work for a department for The OLCC and scratching an ID like that can ruin it and make it invalid. He tried saying he wasn't scratching it even though theee of us just watched him dig his nail into it repeatedly. Which is not cool because in Oregon it's illegal to not have a proper ID on you. So that's when we were about done with the harassment and literally had to take the card back from him and leave. Point being, They knew it was a real ID. There was nothing that indicated it as a fake. They knew they made a mistake, and instead of apologizing, decided to harass us and make it seem like we need new IDs. Crazy to harass your customers like this. Learn how to check IDs properly cause clearly you guys have been in big trouble in the past for not doing so or you guys are just plain jerks who like to harass people. Either way, won't...
Read moreJC's is a dive bar that's got some pretty decent food and a bunch of table games right in the heart of the Bend downtown area. It's usually packed in here with a younger crowd, and the floor can be a little sticky from all the spilled drinks. Food and drinks are cheap which is nice, big portion sizes for food though. If you want greasy to fill your stomach before drinking, this is the place. The service isn't bad, a little less friendly but I understand based off dealing with this crowd. Popular spot for bachelor and...
Read moreWent here for the first time on St. Paddy's, so I understand that things can get a bit busy, but the service was completely awful and seemed totally unaware. We waited for a while at the bar and no one approached us, so we got a table, and still no service! Then when we finally got someone's attention they seemed annoyed and confused. The prices for happy hour were awesome, but unfortunately the service was awful! They were more concerned with talking to each other behind the bar then...
