Paper Jazz — Local services in Bend

This is a wonderful shop! Absolutely wonderful! Unique gifts and a superb selection of great cards. In addition, the customer service is exceptional. I bought a beautiful wall art piece and several months after purchasing it was knocked off the wall and shattered. I was heartbroken. I contacted Paper Jazz to see if they had another I could purchase. I spoke to the owner who was incredibly empathetic and even though she did not have another one in the shop, she spent a good deal of time contacting the company that sends her the pieces to find a replacement for me. It took her time and effort to locate the unique piece and confirm shipment (with all the supply chain issues). She did not give up and the result of her kind efforts was a successful replacement of the piece I loved! I am incredibly grateful to the owner and her staff who kept in touch with me throughout the process and kept me updated with the progress (which took a few months given supply chain issues). To receive this personal and thoughtful customer service from the Paper Jazz team has been quite refreshing and much appreciated. Absolutely rude service here. My partner and I walked in and were browsing for Christmas gifts for family. As a jazzy, LOUD song came on and we started dancing along while browsing in the shop, the cashier stormed over to us and said “we limit the people in the store, so if you’re not going to shop please leave.” We had not finished browsing, we had full intentions of purchasing from this shop yet were interrupted and asked to leave for snapping our fingers to a LOUD song. If happiness is not allowed in this establishment, turn your music down or off. We were not loud or disruptive or rude. We hadn’t even been in the establishment longer than 5 minutes. We were not loitering or being rude. I’m floored that someone would kick me out of a place because we laughed and snapped our fingers along to a song. I was excited to shop at this store as the store front was all ready for the holidays. I told my kids they could pick out an ornament and we were eager to browse through and find their favorite ones to purchase. We had just left another local shop on the same block where they were promoting their "Holiday Sale." We found some fun items and I smiled at the owner and asked if she too was having any holiday promotions. She snapped at me and irritably responded that she "NEVER puts her items on sale, you are obviously not from here!" She continued to angrily tell me how she just put the Christmas decor out and that I was being completely inappropriate to even ask about any sales. My kids sadly were witnesses to this outrageous outburst. Needless to say, I gathered my kids and walked out of the store without their ornaments they had so...
