California Pita & Grill Beverly Hills — Restaurant in Beverly Hills

I placed a catering order on Sunday; one meat platter and one veggie platter. When I got back to my house I realized the pita bread that was supposed to be served with both platters was missing. Unfortunately, when I called to see if I could go back and pick it up, the employee had told me the pita bread "wasn't written on the ticket" and that's why it was not included in my order. He proceeded to say, "not to worry, if you come back we will have it ready for you" as if it was my fault to begin with (even though their own website states the platters come with pita--- how else are you supposed to eat tons of hummus?). When I drove back (thankfully it was close to my house), I never received a verbal apology or anything for the mishap. As someone who works in customer service, you should always try to apologize to guests when an error is made. I wasn't asking for any freebies but when someone spends as much as my family did on catering platters, I expected more. Also, the platters do not serve 5-7 people like it claims on their website. Great place to get Mediterranean food and fulfill your cravings. It’s on south Beverly drive — a beautiful classy street with a lot of restaurants and cafes. It has outdoor seating which is nice and lots of spacious indoor seating too. Free water when you order. The service was fast and the portions were very generous. I ordered the meat combo - steak and lemon chicken and it came with fresh pita bread, hummus and cucumber tomatoe salad. You get a choice of rice or fries and I chose rice - very yummy! I also tried falafel here for the first time and got fries on the side as well. The falafel was good - crispy on the outside and green in the inside, and came with ample sauce. The fries were crispy and thick which I liked - if you’re more of a McDonald’s fries person you might not like the thick and crispy ness of these fries. Overall I enjoyed the ambience, the service, the food was really great and I would highly recommend coming here for Mediterranean food. Ordered online for pickup last night, Sunday. First time here, we ordered the Lemon Chicken plate w rice, Souvlaki (Lamb) plate w fries, Gyros sandwich and 2 spanikopita. Bill was about $80. I'm always hesitant about ordering from new places when I have a particular food I am craving, and don't want to be disappointed. But I can say that I was happy with the taste of this food. The Lemon Chicken was not over cooked and I enjoyed it. It came w rice and tomato-cucumber salad. I would order it again based on it's good taste (love the lemony sauce they give on the side).
