Xi'an Beverly Hills — Restaurant in Beverly Hills

Met up with friends for dinner at this spot & it was an excellent dining experience overall. A nice little bar & a great outdoor seating option.

We ordered family style and got the Peking duck wraps(solid flavor, crispy and the sauce was delicious), Mongolian beef(cooked perfectly and solid flavor), Salt pepper Pork chop(great taste but not as seasoned as I’d like it to be but still good), Salt pepper shrimp(excellent dish overall), Kung Pao chicken(solid offering) & the Poach cod(cooked perfectly and somewhat healthy compared to the other dishes).

For dessert and my friends birthday they gave us tiramisu along with a chocolate cake. The chocolate cake was delicious but too rich and heavy for me. The tiramisu was on point and my favorite. Definitely the best tiramisu I’ve tasted.

Highly recommend Xi'an to anyone looking for tasty Asian cuisine! I last visited on a Friday night (no reservations) they got me seated as soon as they could. I ordered their fried eggplant to start off and WOW. I do not generally eat eggplant but the way they prepare it with breading and peppers is amazing. The main dishes I had were the popcorn shrimp, pungent fish aka candy fish (my personal favorite), and I want to say a Mongolian beef type dish. You'll notice that not only is the food delicious but of great quality too. Very light on the stomach and fresh tasting. Good portions for about 2-3 but with multiple dishes there is more than enough to go a round. My service has always been excellent, though I understand in the restaurant business not everyone is always satisfied. Food is really just OK. I am from Vancouver Canada, this kind of quality will be hard to survive there in Richmond (where most good Chinese food is). It’s a bit pricey considering the quality, portion, presentation, taste; but it’s Beverley Hills. Worse thing is we, party of 4, get auto charged gratuities of 18%. I mean for real??!!! Why would we get charged for 18% in the first place, second I really don’t think their food and service deserve 18%. Anyway, I didn’t want to argue because I don’t mind paying 18%, but auto gratuities is ridiculous. Thank God I will not return there!
