Muchachos — Restaurant in Big Bear Lake

Horrible experience. First my brother in laws beer was warm so that went back. Then my sisters drink had a shard of glass in it she luckily caught before consuming. I ordered a jarritos orange soda and a water and never got my water. Funny the menu says first chips and salsa free anything after there is a charge but after 20 minutes or so after ordering and getting our drinks we had to request the chips and salsa. Now I am extremely weak to salsas and every salsa is hot to me but even this salsa was so bad I was actually wondering if it was just dirty dish water because it literally taste like water. No flavor no spice. Nothing. The food was horrible my enchiladas where nasty and the cheese inside wasnt even melted. Worst rice and bean in my life and I've eaten alot. Spat out rice 3 times because of hard clusters and swallowed once what I was hoping was hard rice by accident. Sad to say but I would consider taco bell better mexican food than this place. It was 6 of us and every single one of us felt like we just got robbed or scammed. Funny at the bottom of the menu it also says parties of 6 or more will automatically be charged 11 % I believe for gratuity. That should have been a sign from the start but lessoned learned and never again will we eat here. The next day we went to saucy mama's pizza I believe was the name and that place is awesome great food good service and at the bottom of there menu it says show your receipt next door for 10 % off so we did and got icecream and some chocolates that where a perfect end to that night. So thank you saucy mama's for saving our experience in big bear. This mexican loves enchiladas rice and beans. Muchachos you should be ashamed of yourselfs. We went here because it had decent reviews after we weren't able to get into a few other restaurants. They had one server, one at the bar, one expo, and one cleaner. When we got to the restaurant it wasn't that busy but service was slow because one server was for the entire restaurant. Her attention got worse as the restaurant filled up. We placed our food order pretty quickly because everyone was hungry. Took about 45 minutes to get the food out once ordered but during that time you had to wrangle the server in to get refills. They did make a mistake on the kids order and they brought out the correct items later. Food was ok but lacked good flavor. One of the baskets of chips were stale and wasn't able to get it changed because the server was too busy. The kicker was once we got the bill. Asked for a side of sour cream and they charged $2.50 for about a small spoon full... Way too much for too little. What I didn't see posted anywhere including the menu is they add a 19.4% service charge. No notice, no explanation, no notification just.... Surprise, you're getting hit with a big service charge. This wasn't a tip charge after asking just told "it's a service charge we add to your bill".... I was too tired to argue but needless to say, that was my first...

this place seemed like a good spot at first we get seated at the back of the restaurant in a corner which is fine but a waitress takes our order and tells us her coworker gave her a broken ordered tablet and laughs about it. she starts taking our order and after she’s done, she walks away mind you i went with just 4 people including me she doesn’t come back until like 30 minutes pass by. she comes back to tell us that she put our ticket for our food down. LIKE WHAT BARELY! okay fine we wait LONGER another waiter sees me and my family sitting doing NOTHING! and proceeds to asks us “are you guys waiting for your food?” EXCUSE ME!! LIKE NO IM JUST SITTING HERE STARVING!! this was beyond disappointing so we told our server that if the food doesn’t come out in 10 minutes we’re leaving. she says the food is being made and we ask what are we waiting for? she said well the salad has been made and your tacos and burrito are getting started on. i’m sorry but 40 minutes just for a salad to be made. baby i can make a salad in 2 minutes. also there was a bigger table next to us drinking and ordering so much stuff and receiving it in like 10 minutes. i’m not sorry but beyond disappointing i wouldn’t go and i checked the reviews their food is just as bad as their...
