So i went to check this place out a few weeks back. The property is gorgeous. Its nestled in the trees on a beautiful green lawn and in a lovely neighborhood in black mountain. I was greeted and took my time looking over all the baked goods. I asked about different quiche and the girl behind the counter was knowledgeable and offered a few options so I went with the kale and ham I believe? And a sticky bun. I ordered a latte and initially wanted the cinnamon syrup that was listed on the board but she let me know they were out. Which was a bummer. I wanted to sit outside and asked how I would know when my order was ready and she told me to check back in a few minutes.
So a few minutes later I go back in and I have 3 plates to carry myself a coffee and bun and a VERY hot quiche plate. Not only did a patron and the cashier watch me struggle but it was the other customer that offered to get the door for me and not the cashier. At the very least she could have brought my coffee out? I thought that was pretty subpar service.
The coffee was lukewarm, but tasted good, the quiche was soggy and tasted ok. The sticky bun was dry but the topping was delicious. It cost me $17 and to be honest I wouldn't...
Read moreA highly reviewed little bakery attached to a cute bed and breakfast. We visited leaving while heading out of town and the first clue disappointment was the dish de jour should have been the counter person's less-than-warm welcome. Despite warning signs, we ordered regardless and to our right plates of unprepared items. Quiche? Undercooked with a quick pointed finger and curt "Microwaves over there."
Well okay then. Apparently we're working today. Thanks boss!
Next came the bagel. It was at least sliced. 3-4 minutes later, it was finally toasted and my partner was already disgusted with her bland items.
What's that? You wanted the quality review? Let's just say the Four in Four Sister's Bakery must refer to how many times they cut the sugar/seasoning in their recipes to save on costs. Flavor? Meh. Everything tastes fine, but you can find more flavor in your local fast food establishment or similar. Their prices aren't great either. $2 for a cookie that's been sitting for a day or two isn't a value, especially when the taste isn't anything to write home about.
Skip this local bakery and find somewhere else to discover! 2 stars for the setting. The atmosphere is quiet...
Read moreMy husband and I just left this bakery after going to get coffee and rolls. The coffee and cinnamon rolls are delicious, not to mention huge. In saying that, I had read reviews online stating that the staff there are rude and unfriendly. Yep it’s very true unfortunately.
We left there thinking this is a place of business where people choose to go and spend their money. With that being said, I will choose NOT to return to Four Sisters Bakery in the future because I can go anywhere for coffee and bakery items and be treated much kinder and courteous.
The young man with long black curly hair who waited on me didn’t even say hello nor did he thank me after I put a tip in the tip jar for him.
The real kicker to this review is my husband had gone two days prior and had a different staff wait on him with the same exact behavior. Really Four Sisters you need to have a serious sit down conversation with your staff and teach them the right way to treat your customers because they definitely know the...
