Very unique concept and love the Cheese and Charcuterie board! Baked Brie was fantastic. You have to try both. Huge selection of wine, other alcoholic beverages were also available. I believe chef changes the menu often. Food was not your average bar food, you wouldn’t find it elsewhere. Everyone from our group loved their sandwiches and salads. I do wish there were more sandwich selections, six out of eleven people ordered Chipotle Turkey sandwich. Tomato soup had a good flavor but it was very thick, almost tasted like a fancy spaghetti sauce. No one was remotely interested in the tinned seafood which was a big section on their menu. I am curious how their sales in tinned seafood were. I am sure some of them are delicious and rare to find, but it just didn’t seem like a lunch item. I would try them if I was there with a friend to have a few glasses of wine. All and all, food was gourmet and affordable. I highly...

This is one of the more unique spaces on the East Coast, in which you are supposed to use the space to connect with people on a different wavelength with wine and light food. You won’t find TVs, loud music or have wifi passwords. The proprietors of this venue have put 200% thought into the design, furniture, ambience and the overall experience you will find here. Their wines are top of the line, thoughtful and are the backbone of this place. Again, it is light food, you won’t find "hot apps" or a full meal here and if you are wanting that, go elsewhere. I live 4-1/2 hours away from this venue and have at least done 10 separate last minute trips just to get the wine and food this place offers. It is THAT good. If you aren’t looking for what this place offers and want TVs, loud music, nachos, and wifi passwords, Sharkey’s and “T.O.T.S.” are a 10 minute walk away. Leave the wine and sophistication to...

Gluten and Dairy free: YES. The kitchen salad was delicious the roasted sweet potato salad was not Dairy free but substitutions could be made and it was quite tasty as well. Food was appropriately priced for the fare. Our server suggested a lovely California red based upon what I said my taste preferences were. If you like wine with chocolate, coffee, caramel, or pit fruit after notes the Prisoner is a good choice. The service was good, the atmosphere was relaxed, but classy. It was crowded and a little loud, but not overly so, it was a bit of a more mature crowd compared to the college scene of many of the bars in the area. So if you are over the days of frat parties, and a fun night is a sophisticated atmosphere, with a good meal and good wine give the...

This was such a fun experience. Great selection of wine. This is restaurant has a wide variety of charcuterie and appetizers. We tried a board with tin goods (smoked oysters, mackerel, tuna). I love tinned goods. I had the duck rillettes. It was a bit small but still delicious. I also had pimento cheese and it was so good. Best that l had on this trip. My colleagues had sandwiches, with either soup or side salads all looked very good but the smoked turkey sandwich was huge! The owner has personally selected tins from Spain and Portugal. They are available for purchase (as well as wine, specialty teas and decadent chocolate). The atmosphere was very relaxed and enjoyable. I highly recommend a stop here.
