Buffalo Wild Wings — Restaurant in Blacksburg

Ordered off of Grubhub on Thursday night after being away from the area all day at about 9 pm. I knew they would be busy with the start of the NFL season, so I made the order before I got back to my apartment at 9 in Blacksburg to give them plenty of time as they close at 11 pm. About 45 minutes passed and my order got delayed, when I spoke to my driver, he explained that the restaurant was busy. Another 45 minutes passed, and there were still no updates from the store, even with my driver sitting in the lobby for over 25 minutes. I called the restaurant to get some information and spoke to a clearly stressed and frustrated cashier who told me that he couldn’t promise that the order could be completed in another 40 minutes, and said that he would cancel the order if he were in my situation. I canceled my order well after 10:30, almost a full hour and a half after I placed it, and had to order from a different place that got my dinner to me by 11:30 pm. I am mostly frustrated at the fact that the only way I got any information out of the restaurant was to call them, as they apparently wouldn’t tell my driver anything after sitting there for a considerable amount of time. I also was told to call back and speak with the GM at a different time, but when I decided to call the customer service number, I was “helped” by an extremely rude worker who interrupted me on every sentence. I used to love BDubs, but the past couple of experiences have been horrible here, avoid at all costs. i got a combo meal which came with 10 boneless wings, fries, ranch, and a drink (i chose diet pepsi) normally, I wouldn't get fries here, but as part of the deal I didn't mind it

Since they were a limited time, I decided to try the honey sriracha wings the size of the wings were pretty decent - didn't feel like any of them were smaller than they should be the breading was a little disappointing - there wasn't much crunch to it - probably due to the fact that the wings were tossed in the sauce rather than a dry rub, but i still did expect a little bit more breadiness than what i got i did appreciate the different bumps on the breading, though the inside of the wings wasn't overcooked either

as far as the sauce, i wasn't quite sure what to make of it there was some sweetness but not much, and the sriracha flavor was essentially missing as this was not spicy in any way despite being a lot of sauce, it didn't really have any strong flavors

The Maple Sriracha and Hot Honey flavors at Wingstop do a similar sauce significantly better, in my opinion

The fries were about average - they weren't crunchy, but at least were somewhat soft inside. not much seasoning the carrots were wayy too soft the ranch was also fine but not great - again, Wingstop does the ranch a lot better

I will say this was a pretty great deal for the price, as the overall meal is quite filling for what comes out to only around 14 dollars

Jan 2020 needed cheese curds. Yum. I need medical help for my curds addiction.. also wanted to watch the arsenal match but the seats were under the tvs 🤨. The wings are so expensive, 9.99 for a snack size when Bull and Bones are $6.99 for a small that has almost 2X more wings, and taste better.

Aug 2019 terrible service. Stuck us at a table, turned on the match on the TV straight up above us. Least they had curds this time. Remember a few years ago when they would put the audio on? (Other location across the parking lot) ... Not anymore. the 2000 blaz rewards have expired, bummer. Says 6 months but it's only been 4...

April 2019 called and gave them feedback. Updating to 2 stars. Being a regular here for 3 years for Sunday prem league games we had "our table" and loose recognition but staff turnover and supply chain changes (they ran out of curds??) Seems to have taken a toll. I'll visit again and update me review after the next experience.
