We LOVE Jersey Mike's but the amount of time it takes to receive food is unacceptable. We ordered online in the hopes of getting in and out quickly because we had somewhere else to be. Unfortunately this is not the first time that we've had to wait an hour for an online order.
This needs to be made right. Waiting an hour for an order for 4 people at a fast food restaurant is unacceptable. It totally defeats the purpose of "ordering online." There was no communication as to why it was taking so long. I understand they may be short staffed but then make the decision to stop taking online orders. We watched many other customers go through the line before our order was even looked at.
Again we love Jersey Mike's and used to have a good experience every time we went. This is one of my favorite places to eat as someone with celiac, I can always eat safely without concern. They take allergies seriously which I will always appreciate. The workers used to be lovely & incredibly helpful as well as efficient.
Really at the end of the day as a customer: just don't order this to go cause there's nothing convenient...
Read moreI've never stood in line for such a long time at a Jersey Mikes. I watched MANY online order people stand for the entire duration of my time there. We waited in line for around 15-20 minutes before our turn and then ate in.
It seems like everyone working is new or just doesn't care. Ordering and trying to make sure sandwiches were correct was a pain. I'm not one to tell someone how to do their job but when it's clear the sandwich is about to be wrapped and is missing ingredients... Person intentionally didn't add ingredients because the line didn't have any and was visibly annoyed when asked to put bacon/mayo on the sandwich. It's MINIMAL effort to turn and ask someone to help or just grab another yourself. It's also very clear the manager on duty would rather be out of sight and not help the team when they are obviously struggling.
I've never been so disappointed in a Jersey Mikes visit before. How many 'portions' of red wine vinegar and oil does a sandwich need? I lost count after ten. Our sandwiches were absolutely saturated and falling apart. Will not be returning...
Read moreI want to love Jersey Mikes. I really do. There are a lot of sub shops out there, and each chain has to do what they can to stand out. Let's be honest, there's only so much you can do with bread, lunch meat, veggies, cheese, and sauces. I like the Jersey theming of the chain, and the fact that they have some hot sandwich offerings. There's never been a problem with the food quality or accuracy. My issue is with Jersey Mike's is the staffing.
Having visited a few Jersey Mike's around town I can't help but think that they could take staffing lessons from some other chains. I don't recall a visit to any location that didn't have at least 8 people on staff at any given time, and often more than that. It seems they're constantly overstaffed, sometimes to the point of actually running into each other, while this chaotic dance of disorganization results in food being made and delivered with no regard for service times. With a little organization and planning I'm sure they could do...
