Read moreSuper Delish!! I literally stop here every time I’m in Cambridge visiting my son, which is likely taking away from other experiences, lol, but I can always rely on their great buttery lobstah roll to make my day. I’ve eaten many rolls as such in my day, from various vendors, and find these restaurants roll to be soft and sweet the right way (lightly toasted) and the lobster is fresh & flavorful with the butter layer never being too absurd. The butter honestly can’t be too overwhelming, or it creates unnecessary bread moisture causing for either a bad eating experience where the sandwich falls apart or creates a soggy bread texture in your mouth which is likely the worst of the 2 situations. I always get the tacos as well and it’s frankly less of a meal and more like an appetizer (only 3), but it has this simple, fresh and yummy taste that’s a lighter option if you’re not too hungry. This trip I had to leave a review because the service was exceptional. We got stuck in major traffic and arrived in town minutes to their closing. We called the restaurant and they totally looked out for us!! Made all our requests and prepared them perfectly. At the end of any evening, you know people want to go home and I truly appreciate them making an exception and getting the order in before closing...
Read moreI called at 5 pm on Christmas Eve and asked for dine in . They were wonderful and said If I got there as soon as possible they would accommodate us. I read great reviews online. I had been in New England for 10 days and had not yet had a Lobstah roll or whole fried clams (shame on me). My expectations were extremely high and unfortunately I was very disappointed. The clams were strips not whole( my fault) I did not read the menu . Never thought a place like that would not be serving whole clams. Not at all what I wanted. They were ok says my wife. The lobster roll was a decent roll with a good amount of meat ( 6 oz). Not the best I have had but not bad. The biggest issue was how tough the lobstah was. The best part of the dinner was by far the Lobstah mac and cheese. It still had the tough Lobstah but the dish as a whole was very delicious. I don't think our waitress really wanted to be there ( it was Christmas Eve after all). It was reflected in her overall attitude. Overall it was not bad but not good enough for me to go back or recommend it to anyone. I was in Boston for a Christmas morning flight back home. Sure wish it had been what I was...
