The inside of this spot is very small. And I mean, VERY small. Most of the space was taken up by their kitchen, with staffs working super fast and efficiently. They are pretty popular, so they stayed busy the whole time. The cashier is at front, and their drinks are in the refrigerator (unless you want something hot). I ordered iced coffee. I was told to simply take one out the refrigerator. After you put in an order for food, you can either wait in the very small waiting area by the door, or wait right outside. There is a counter table with bar stools, but the space is really cramped there. Not many people actually choose to dine there, since people are constantly bumping into you. Another issue is that the door opens inward, so you have to push into the people who are waiting for their food. The space gets pretty much full when there are more than 3 people in the inside. All of their sandwiches sounded really good, so it was not an easy task for me to choose just one… I decided to go with Fancy. Now, it might not look like much, but with just one bite, I was in sandwich heaven! I don’t know how they make their sandwich so freakin’ tasty, but they are popular for a reason! Cold Brew Iced Coffee on the other hand was not so great. Pre-made and sitting in a fridge under the cashier counter for a while, it loses its fresh taste. And, it had ice cubes in it that was melting and watering-down the coffee. Overall, I had high expectations for their popular sandwiches, and they did totally deliver! It was tasty, filling, high quality and made with love. It was one of the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. If I ever go back to Boston area, I would love to go back for another sandwiches, regardless of the wait or the small cramped space. It is totally worth it!

This place is absolutely amazing. If you’re looking for something with a bit more thought than you’re run of the mill breakfast sandwich, this place will be the perfect choice. The place is the size of a closet, but don’t fret, you can either sit on a stool around the block or walk a lil and sit down at the park nearby. My husband went there on our first morning in Boston and we got one each and shared. I got the fancy: 2 eggs, avocado, red onion, and cheddar on multigrain bread. It was our favorite. The avocado and onion added both creaminess and a slight crunch as well as a good “spice” from the onion. That multigrain bread from Iggy’s bakery was phenomenal. We also got a Crack sandwich - that comes with a eggs, 2x bacon, American, cheddar, Swiss, and gruyere on a buttered sourdough: delicious and 100% addictive, but that avocado and onion in the fancy was just love at first bite ❤️ They also have vegetarian and vegan options as well as some limited availability ones (when we went they also had one with iberico bacon 🥓). 100% recommended, we are definitely gonna be back whenever we are in Boston!

A satisfying big breakfast from this small little corner sandwich shop. We got the Fancy, Breakfast Grilled Crack, and the Mission Breakfast Burrito. The Breakfast Grilled Crack was a straightforward sandwich, with fried egg, bacon, and 4 types of cheese. This combination with the sourdough bread was really fragrant, and it was easy to eat without making a mess. The Fancy similarly had bacon and fried eggs (two instead of one), and it won us over with the avocado and red onions that created the most gratifying mess with their creamy texture in the middle of the sandwich. Finally, the Mission Breakfast Burrito takes the ultimate crown with its amazing, hearty medley of cheddar, potatoes, poblanos, avocado mash, salsa verde, salsa roja, crema, and pico de gallo, championed by the luscious scrambled eggs. Come on your lazy day, buy them back home (there are very little seats inside, but there is a little park area nearby with seats, see one of my pictures here), savor every bite, and knock yourself out with a food coma after.

Came here on a Saturday morning at 10 for the infamous breakfast sandwiches I'd heard so much about. I had heard about the potential for lines (read other reviews for those) so I considered ordering online for pick-up but since it was a crisp winter morning, I assumed there wouldn't be a line and I was right. We only had to one for one other person to order when we arrived. Setting: This place is TINY and there are maybe 5 stools along the walls and windows to sit so do not plan on sitting inside (though if you get lucky, you may get to). The majority of the small restaurant is taken up by the cooking area which is manned by 4 or 5 workers. Food: My friend and I ordered the Grilled Breakfast Crack and the Breakfast Torta with chorizo and split them (picture below). Both were delicious. It's hard to mess up breakfast sandwiches and these were definitely great. Not the best breakfast I've ever had but definitely up there. TIP: Order online ahead of time to avoid the lines.

I am writing this review for my visit on 10/8/17. I have been wanted to try Mike & Patty's breakfast for so long, so when a couple of friends wanted to try a new place, they let me pick this place. WE COULD NOT HAVE BEEN HAPPIER! We all ended up ordering the Breakfast Grilled Crack and let me tell you, the name is extremely appropriate. The sourdough was well toasted, the cheese was perfectly melted, and the bacon remained crisp under the fried egg. We all wish we ordered another one (even though we were full after one). This restaurant is worth going out of your way for, as you cannot get better sandwiches elsewhere. I would recommend ordering online or calling ahead, as the line can be quite long on the weekends. Also, seating is very limited so I would not recommend a big group show up together, unless you all are eating outside. I wish I lived closer so that I could get their sandwiches more often.

Overall: If you're willing to wait, the sandwiches at Mike and Patty's are out of this world good. The good: First things first, both of the sandwiches that we got were incredible and were perfect fuel for the day. They had that "wow" factor that most other places don't. The Fancy was anything but; filled to the brim with avocado, bacon, egg, and cheese goodness. Hot, well-portioned, and tasted great, and the bacon had something special about it. The prices are also reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes of the sandwiches. The not-so-good: It gets packed, and there's not a lot of room to move. If you come during rush hour, expect to wait 15-20 before you even order, and then be ready to wait outside. Don't come here with more than 1-2 other people, otherwise you'll be waiting awhile and will have to take your food elsewhere anyway. Atmosphere: 8/10 Service: 8/10 Food: 10/10
