We happened to be in the area on a Saturday night and noticed the awesome open flames outside surrounding Rebel's Guild, a hotel restaurant that is very separated from the hotel itself. There was little wait and so we decided to give it a try. Inside the space is super funky with this modern industrial gothic design with watchful "assassin's eye" logos camouflaged in the walls. Cool accent lights are all over the space with several large chandeliers serving as the primary focal point. Overall, the food was good, especially for a hotel restaurant which I usually try to avoid unless it's for convenience. There is a very small menu to choose from with a little of everything. We went with a burger and lobster roll. The lobster roll was very good and didn't have any hints of frozen taste/texture - it seemed very fresh. The burger was excellent and held up very well to my wife's pleas for it to be as "very well done" which can often lead to a dried out frisbee. The fries and roasted potatoes were good, but tasted as though they were made a long time ago and then slightly heated up. The fries tasted frozen which surprised me given how fresh the lobster tasted. The service was good (took quite a while for drinks to arrive which our server apologized for) and incredibly friendly. I would maybe give Rebel's Guild 3 stars were it not a hotel restaurant, which in my experience are in their own sub-category. But all-in all, its a funky, casual, and convenient place to eat in an area of town that mostly offers extremes...

I ate at this location last night because I was tired and didn't want to leave the hotel. The company I worked for has worked out a discount with the hotel for food and it seemed like a decent option for a burger and a beer. I should have been concerned when I waited over 5 minutes to be seated when there were only two other people in the restaurant.

The music was at a volume that would have been unremarkable had the bar been full of people, but without the people it was obnoxiously loud.

The beer was small and overpriced, and the selection was bad, but this was not surprising from a hotel bar. The fries were pretty good, but the burger was only mediocre, but the real shock came when I got the bill. Although they had discounted the ticket, they had marked it up more than they had discounted it. Since they only discount food, they had charged an 18% gratuity on the pre-discount price. On the ticket was printed "18% gratuity added to parties of 8 or more." I was alone. When I questioned the staff about the charge, he replied, "my manager added it I cannot do anything about it." Not wanting to cause a stink, I paid and left, but this was a decent experience turned poor over a few dollars that I would have given them anyway. Now I will not return to this bar, and I will encourage all my colleagues to stay away as well.

Poor form...

Service was great and the food even better. We had dinner and breakfast here as we were staying overnight to see a show in Boston.

For dinner, my wife had the Grilled Top Sirloin (chimichurri rojo, baby potatoes, grilled scallions). She gave me a bite and it was one of the best steaks I have ever had. Cooked perfectly, medium rare, with a crust that was the star. I ordered the Korean Short Rib Fried Rice (kimchee, fried egg, sesame, crispy garlic). This was really good as well, but I felt it was a little too salty for my tastes by just a hair. I feel some of the ingredients, like the kimchee are salty on their own and prudence needs to be used when other ingredients are salty. Still a good dish.

For breakfast, my wife ordered the Revere Breakfast (2 eggs, home fries and toast). It was pretty standard fair and she enjoyed it. I ordered the North End Omelet (open-faced omelet with three eggs, heirloom cherry tomatoes, prosciutto, fresh basil, mozzarella, arugula, EVOO, balsamic drizzle). This was an outstanding omelet.

Overall, our dining experiences were very good (there cocktails were good as well). However, the prices, although not the highest in Boston were above average. Since this is located in a hotel and near Boston Common, they can fetch these prices. I will say I would eat here again and recommend...

Friends and I stopped by Rebels Guild for Sunday brunch after the Walk for Hunger. It was perfect because we didn’t have to wait. The menu isn’t overly extensive, which I appreciated, it made choosing what to get easier, especially since everything on it sounded good. I went with the Revere Breakfast and overall, I really enjoyed it. I also had a lemonade, which was just okay. The service was quick, and the place wasn’t busy, making for a relaxed and speedy experience. The atmosphere was quiet, with dimmed lighting that gave it a romantic, cozy feel even though it was hard on the eyes once I stepped back outside. Entering was confusing as there are stairs on the outside but when you try to go in the doors were locked. You had to enter the hotel and take the elevator to the restaurant. Overall, it’s a solid brunch spot.

Came for brunch on a Sunday. Place was nice albeit a little dirty under all tables (only 1 patron when we came in to eat). The blueberry lemon pancakes were a little overcooked on one side and dry. My son didn't care for them. They actually tasted better the day after when I heated them up. Berries on top were refreshing, but most of the blueberries had stems on them. The lobster Benedict was great! Lobster was a big fail as it was VERY VERY DRY. Never had I had lobster this dry and just hardened. Also my egg was extremely overcooked inside. I did not eat the potatoes. The burger was delicious.
