The Big Macs were great, French Fries were great, Iced Pumpkin Latte was great, but the service was terrible. I went there with my girlfriend through drive through this afternoon after we got off work. From the way this McDonalds looked, it wasn't very busy at all, since we were the only ones that pulled in and order through drive-thru.
So once we pulled up to the speaker, there's the screen that shows slide shows of Big Mac's, drinks and everything that was on sale. But once we started ordering, the screen would never show us what we are ordering, instead it keep showing slide shows on what they have that's on sale. Just like that, we couldn't even see what was on the screen of what we ordered so far. My girl and I remembered to tell them through the speaker that we have a $1 coupon for the day after the Broncos game which is $1 for one BIg Mac Sandwich or Sausage McMuffin with Egg. But we have 2, so we can get two of the Big Macs for $2. The order taker told us the total which was 9.14, but from there that sounded off to me, and my girl agreed so we drove up to the first window and told the order taker that we have 2 of those $1 coupons and showed them to her, I don't think she heard exactly what we said. So then, she gave us the receipt and then we drove to the 2nd window to pick up our food and drink.
So once, we pulled up to the 2nd window and picked up our drink and food. I looked at our receipt and our 2 Big Macs rung up as 2 for $5 instead of 2 for $2. Then we ask the employer at the second window, why is our Big Macs ringing up for 5 dollars when it's supposed to be 2 for 2 as we showed her our coupons. She said didn't you tell the order taker at the window and on the speaker and that you have those. My girl and I said we did both of those. Then she and gave us the food and drink said go to the 3rd window.
Then we went to the 3rd window, once we got to the next window, there was the manager, she asked what the problem was, then my girl and I said we are supposed to get 2 Big Macs for $2, but instead it rung up to be 2 for 5 instead. The manager said it only works for one coupon not two, but then my girl said, but it has works at other McDonalds where we both could get a big mac for a dollar for each of us. Then the manager started babbling along about it like we are dumb and stupid and said okay I'll give you the refund but next time tell the order taker at the speaker and the window that you have those coupons. My girl and I said, but we did at both of those spots. Then again she said next time tell the order taker at the speaker and window that you have coupons then she shuts the window at our faces and takes off to get a refund for us which took like 10 minutes for her to get back.
10 minutes later, Once she gets back and opens the window she said here's your refund, but remember to tell the order taker at the speaker and the window that you have coupons. My girl and I told her once again, we already told you that we did both times at speaker then at the window. The manger didn't take our word and started babbling at us again and went on and on and on like we she's better than us and shut window at our faces again and then we were done. She didn't say have a great day, she didn't apologize or anything.
Seriously what happened to Customers always right? Isn't the customer always right? I feel bad for everyone that lives in Boulder, and people who live near this one or work near this one. Lucky my girl and I don't. So if you ever want to go to McDonalds for the day after the Broncos games to get a Big Mac or Sausage McMuffin with Egg for a dollar, don't go...
Read moreOk so here we go. This mcdonalds on 28th street is a disgrace to all mcdonalds. I went in for breakfast this morning 7/17/2015 and ordered a couple menu items. From the very beginning the manger who took my order was clearly wanting to do anything other than that, she had a smug facial expression, no greeting, and lied to me. I used to work for a mcdonalds and part of training is "give em the pickle" which means give the customer what they want even if it doesn't always make sense. Its called CUSTOMER SERVICE! So when a customer orders a mcmuffin with egg but wants a biscuit instead of muffin they should do so with no price increase, besides a mcmuffin has to cost more in the first place, however the manager said they would have to charge me for the biscuit, so I go along and say ok, (which was wrong), then she changes her mind and say she has to charge for a sausage biscuit and upcharge for the egg I want......she herself is confused but acting like she knows. After my order I was entirely dissatisfied, but continued to watch her with the next customers. She gave the same terrible service to the next person. However all of a sudden after that customer she greets the next one with a GIANT SMILE and a verbal greeting. Immediately I wonder then what could be the problem.... I noticed she also was speaking Spanish with this person and seemed thrilled to comply with this customers needs. This infuriated me because it seems like a racial issue as the manager is Hispanic, which further aggravated me because I am half Hispanic!!!!! Also every single worker is Hispanic, which isn't necessarily a problem until you combine that with my experience, and the fact Boulder's demographics show the population is over 90 % white! Also another problem with this is to other commentators credit, over half of them don't speak fluent English, should that seriously be something someone should have to encounter in middle America, I came from Texas where there is an infinitely larger Hispanic population, in fact over half the population is Hispanic and have never encountered Hispanics who couldn't speak English taking orders! Seriously why would any company invest in a nicer building with this kind of employee much less management? If you can avoid mcdonalds in Boulder, if not go...
Read moreI decided to take my daughter and her friend to this location to eat dinner last night. I was very hesitant because the prior only visit I've ever made to this location, nothing in our order was right and our food was cold. Also, I felt actually discriminated against because I'm white.
I asked the girls last night where they wanted to eat and they chose McDonald's. So, in order to please them I decided to go ahead and try again and maybe the service would be different this time. How wrong I was.
Let me tell you about our experience.
Not only did I feel discriminated against again, but the food my daughter and her friend ordered was wrong. In fact, I had a feeling things were going to go this way after the discriminatory treatment at the counter, so we decided to stay in the lobby to eat just in case. Sure enough, not only was our food cold but after requesting their sandwiches be corrected, the same girl who took our order, bagged some burgers and as she placed the bag on the counter, looked right past me and called out an order number. She knew who I was and what I was waiting for but refused to acknowledge me in that moment and let me know that was our food.
Standing there for over 5 minutes watching orders be made and delivered and the girl just completely ignoring that I was still standing there, the manager came over to me and looked puzzled. I told her that we were still waiting for our replaced order. She looked in the bag and shook her head at the worker and handed me our food.
All I could do was look at the manager, just hurt by how I had been treated. She offered me extra fries which I declined. Getting back to the table we realized this order was totally incorrect as well. I asked the girls if they wanted to eat it anyway and they just didn't want to. So, I started to approach the counter again with the wrong order for the second time. The manager was actually on her way to us with 2 pies to try to make right the treatment of the other worker. I told her that I was just upset at this point and wanted my money back. The manager gracefully gave me a refund and apologized for our treatment. I am grateful for the managers actions, but will NEVER compromise and choose that...
