We were celebrating a birthday. We arrived at 6:49 and were immediately seated. We sat for 20 minutes with no server. The chips and salsa lady had delivered chips and salsa. We went to the hostess stand she apologized and we understood.
Server greeted us and we ordered drinks appetizers and entrees. Server returned with beverages and brought two teas and two sodas in case he was unable to return. (We should have left at this point!). I said smart but in hindsight he was not returning. We ordered table side guacamole which they should remove because of short handed.. This was the last time we saw our server. When 40 minutes passed and we did not have food but tables seated after us were leaving I went to the hostess stand and asked for a manager. We had been seated for an hour. The manager said I will come to your table. About that time our food arrived. She said are we good? I said not really. She said we are doing the best we can we are short staffed. Her tone was rude and unapologetic. We were caught off guard abs this set the tone for the rest of our meal. I cannot imagine me making excuses in my job to my customers. Your staffing issues are not your guests concerns. Maybe you need fewer tables. Once seated we cannot leave.and felt trapped in a bad situation. There are other fantastic options in Branson and restaurants who would welcome our patronage.
When server came by we asked for check. Food was bland and disappointing. Server never got us second margarita or refilled waters. He left check and ran off before husband could give him credit card. We just wanted out at this point. I flagged down a bus boy handed him the card and said go find our server. He was clueless. Most restaurants have stations and anyone can see which server is assigned to a server on the seating chart at a hostess stand
Server came back and said to my husband. “I am understand you have issues with my service.”
My husband replied, “ yes it was slow.”
Server replied, “ if you do not like my service keep your money. Americans are lazy and do not want to work.”
Till this point my husband would have tipped him. At this point we are offended. As a guest in a restaurant you are paint for a dining experience with the expectation of a decent meal. Food was bland and mediocre and we left offended. After last year you would expect restaurants to be welcoming guests.
Luckily we live in an area with many other dining options. All you hardworking Americans might want to patronize another establishment who valued their guests.
Former server who is very understanding but current hardworking American who was extremely offended! Born abs raised in Branson and this is not the hospitality you should get...
Read moreNOT HAPPY HOUR CUSTOMERS!!! PROFILED BY THE RUDEST MANAGER WE HAVE EVERY ENCOUNTERED!!!!! We are on vacation here in Banson, Mo. and after shopping at the Landing in Branson we decided to have dinner at the Cantina Laredo, we arrived after 5:30pm and was seated in a booth. Our waiter introduced himself and asked for our drink order. I order water with lemon and my fiance ordered a beer. I asked the waiter if there were any specials and he said he have to check, he returned with a happy hour menu. I explained to him that I meant a chefs special for that night, which he said there wasn't one only the happy hour special. We did order a Queso dip off the happy hour menu with our waiter, he left to put the order in and we continued to look at the menu for our dinner choice. As we were looking at our menus the manager approched our table to inform us, that in the furture if we were there to order from the happy hour menu that we would need to sit in the bar area. He was very smug and arrogant towards us, as I tried to explain to him that we are not from this area and we had asked the waiter for dinner specials, not about happy hour specials. After the managers behavior we decided that we did not want to patronize this resturatant and asked the waiter for our check. He said there would be no charges but with the managers demener we were not leaving without paying, even though we hadn't even be servered anything but the free chips and salsa. We told the waiter that this was not his fault but his managers for his behavior towards us and for not training his staff correctly. After we asked for our check the manager returned to our table to try and explain himself for his comments but he's arrogant demeanor was still apparent. We told him the reason we where leaving was because of him and not the waiter and that he was the problem for profiling us as happy hour/locals! In todays economy, I would think that this customer service industry would welcome any and all business. Happy...
Read moreI rarely review any business, but this is justified. We visited Cantina Laredo in the off season around the Christmas holiday and it was wonderful. Shout out to all my Happy Hour fans...they had an awesome happy hour offering. We looked forward to visiting again for months. We had the opportunity this last week and it was a shock. Our first point of contact was the manager with the long dark hair. We sat at the bar and he made zero eye contact. His complete focus was shift change. He finally asked if we would like a drink and handed us off to our off-and-on server Landis. She was rude and condescending. There is no criticism of the food. It is wonderful. Management and servers were horrible. Next up was the "Bartender". She came in and started her shift texting. We still did our best to enjoy the good food and the view and atmosphere and then the bill came. They charged full price for the wine and not happy hour pricing. We kindly asked the bartender about it and she asked Landis the server. She responded by making us feel cheap. She said, "You are lucky you got charged for the middle priced one." The bartender explained that they were having supply problems on house wines so they simply up charged with no communication. She could have corrected our bill but did not offer. Love the food but will not return based on trying to enjoy happy hour on vacation and being treated like second...
