The absolute worst Hilton property I have ever stayed at.
Do not stay here. They treat Diamond members like rust.
Arrived at 4 p.m. Valet was a mess. Attendants scattering everywhere with no organization, cars arriving trying to pass one another. Huge potential liability there. Also, what guys were there didn't offer to help my family with our luggage.
Get in line to check in with many people visibly irritated, but I promised myself I would make the best of whatever.
A little old lady working the front desk asks me to approach at which time I hand her my DL and Hilton Honors credit card. No honors welcome bag was mentioned nor offered (this will be the least of my issues). She asked if I was at the wrong hotel and that she couldn't find my reservations (2 rooms...both condos w balcony). Her demeanor was uncaring and argumentative. I then pulled up my email with confirmation at which time the manager disappeared to a back room. Come to find out they had a computer glitch and didn't have my rooms. She then said they had 2 rooms available condo style without the balconies. I said that would work, but how much less would they be due to the inconvenience to which she replied she'd taken the valet charges off the room. The rooms were $10 less per night without the balcony. Not a good start, but it gets better.
Check in time here is 4 p.m., latest check in for a hotel I've seen. By this time it is 4:30 and she says:
THE ROOMS AREN'T CLEAN YET!
I asked her how that was possible since most cleaning crews start at 8 a.m. at hotels and I was given numerous excuses...oh and no one said SORRY or took responsibility one time! They had no idea when the rooms would be ready either.
We finally got checked in at 5:30 p.m. after a business associate of mine called the manager on duty (I asked for his name as that info wasn't posted anywhere) and basically told him to get the rooms ready.
He waddled over smelling like an ash tray and said he'd comp the first night's stay for both rooms and put bkfast vouchers under the door. I was nice and respectful, but still received no apology and no responsiblity for his staff's ineptitude and attitude.
No vouchers were ever received and I have the hotel receipts where I have been charged the full amounts for the first nights stay.
Upon leaving valet was no better None of them said hi or bye or offered to help w any luggage.
I have an attorney contacting the hotel this week in regards to the refunds.
I have the name of the manager I spoke to as well as the other 2 managers at this location.
This place is bad for Branson and is an embarrassment to Hiltons worldwide.
Other lowlights include:
A room cleaner offering extra towels in the hallway to me, which was a surprising professional gesture until he started coughing all over the place without covering his mouth!
Fingernails in the bathroom.
No fitted sheet on bed.
Dirty windows.
Horrible room service food quality. Mcdonald's was better.
Hilton:
Close this cesspool down temporarily, fire, hire, and clean and get this place up to the...
Read moreAs a diamond member I hate to give even 4 stars but I’m trying to be kind. We arrived on a girls trip very late 2 weeks ago after a late flight and drive from Springfield to our rooms being upgraded. Yeah!!! However two of us are handicapped and they relocated us outside the main facility across the promenade and on the very furtherest end of that building. Due to the later hour there was no valet and two of us cannot walk long distances and we had no wheelchairs. The parking garage is close but on the opposite side of the main entrance so no where near our location at this point. When asked for a cart we were told that they were locked away. I was in serious agony by the time were finally unloaded with no assistance from the staff. Thankfully our room was nice and spacious with a balcony overlooking the promenade shops.
The next day we did a grocery run for our room before going to our scheduled activities and need to run them back to our room on a tight timeframe and the entrance was full of valet staff trying to help guest but it was obviously going to be quite sometime before they would get to us so my daughter offered to drop of the refrigerator items so I asked for a cart to help her with the very long distance and was told we were not allowed to use them due to it being a full service hotel and that the valet were the only ones that could use them. We could not leave our cold items so once again I had to try and help my daughter with these items or we would be late. My pain level made that evening miserable after this. There are no places to sit down to break up the distance along the way and you have to empty your hand to use card access to get into our building so very inconvenient.
The lobby is very nice with lots of sitting areas but all the furniture is so low to the ground most seniors would struggle to get back up and they only offer ice water to guest not even complimentary coffee or breakfast. As diamond members we thankfully used our daily vouchers for breakfast room service.
We were there 5 days and every day we had to call about our air conditioner. After 9am the room would get warm … the first day we were told they were repairing the room next-door however we felt like that they had a governor on the air conditioner, because the setting never changed but the moment we called in 15 minutes, it would be working fine again.
The room was initially well stocked, but we did have to ask for extra towels and coffee cups and coffee replacements every single day since there were three in the room and not two.
Not our typical experience with Hilton with personal touches and care that’s for sure.
On the positive side, the location was wonderful and it was a...
Read moreGood news first - This is a great location. Just up the hill is Branson's main street with blocks of old time shops and great local restaurants. Be sure and hit the 5¢ and 10¢ store. Wander down the side streets as well. And the ice cream! In the other direction is a nice collection of shops and restaurants with a nice river walk.
Now the bad news - We were greeted by a valet vaping in the reception area. When I raised this to the hotel management they denied that they had a valet who vaped until I provided them a photo. As we checked in, the valet kept ogling a female guest unloading her car. No bellman offered to help with our luggage. The hotel charges $15 per day for parking but it is across the street. Valet service costs an additional $15 per day.
The music in the lobby was so loud I had difficulty interacting with the representative. When I asked for a room away from the train, I got a convoluted explanation that it depended on the time of day. The room I received was DIRECTLY over the train stop.
There was a revolving door into the lobby that had to be rotated manually. While there were obvious motion detectors and buttons "Push to slow down" and "Emergency stop", hotel management denied that the door was supposed to be powered.
The description of my room on the hotel's website was "View of Branson Landing and partial lake view." There are 2 key factors in that description. First "View of Branson Landing": notice that Branson Landing is capitalized. That is the shopping center across the street. Second "partial lake view": If you look at a map, there is no lake there. I could see no water of any type.
The shower looked like Bath Fitter did it with tacky glass doors and a fiberglass drop-in floor pan. Housekeeping did not refill the toilet paper. The duvet was upside down with the open end at the head and the filler 18” from the top. The housekeeper's name on the welcome card was marked out and written in. There was an electrical receptacle carpeted over in the floor.
Otherwise, the room was fine with a good desk and refrigerator.
There was a $30 per day "Destination Charge" that provided discounts at the in-house restaurant and complimentary drinks. We were there to enjoy Branson, not the hotel amenities.
This Hilton clearly does not meet typical Hilton standards. There is a Hilton Branson Landing just across the street. Perhaps it is better run. My friend's 3 night stay there was less than my 2 night stay at the Hilton Branson...
