Stop in! Do it!! We ran across this accidently and expected fully that the tastings would have a cost (most wineries charge something). The great news is the do not have a charge! Shimmy up to the bar and get ready to be entertained and taste some really good shine! The barkeep (young lady, sorry I can't remember her name) was PERFECT for this job - tons of energy, hilarious, and kept it fun for all... remembered folks names, quickly found your smile and what put a smile on your face and she'd keep it coming. The tastings are like communion cups, so 13 tastes is surely only equivalent to 3-4 shots? Didn't matter the size, the tastes are fantastic. I don't usually like when people mess with coffee, but that coffee one was a pick! I loved the orange creme and it took me back to being 8 yrs old and I want to try it with vanilla ice cream now (you can gather, I bought that one too! HA!). A couple are bloody mary mixes, with jalapenos and YUM, I do not like bloody marys and I was tempted to buy a case. Wife and I had such a good time, we were laughing and smiling like giddy newlyweds... it was a fine touch to our anniversary weekend. As a treat, we grabbed one of the Buy 3, Get 1 boxes and loaded it up. Picked out Orange Creme, Coffee, Chocolate and one other that escapes me at the moment, but we are super excited to have some family over and have a tasting night at home... we'll then have to come back and load up again (after some more tasting excitement of course). What a smart business idea to allow free tastings and give a B3G1 box, you know they could sell bottles for $5 less each, but if they give you a free one, you won't do the math to realize that it's $22.50 a bottle which is probably what Walmart would sell similar shine's for. Not a care here, because this was an EXPERIENCE and that barkeep made it that BOMB! She had loaded up tip jars, so obviously others agree... she got a nice tip from us for sure.
They will help you load up your box, I am assuming they've had more than 1 person drop a bottle after tasting 13 kinds. Smart choice to have an attendant who carries your box and loads it to the register... after that, it's up to you to carry it home in one piece, lol. Seriously... did I mention, GO HERE! :) Top 3 in our entire weekend of fun! Oh, apparently they serve food on the other side... so next time, we'll stop in earlier and try some dinner and then hit the drink side :)...
Read moreI’ve been to this establishment several times throughout the years, and as a somewhat-local to the area, have always loved their products, and the tasting bar they have opened to those 21 years of age or older. Well, I drove 20 miles out of my way yesterday to meet with a good friend, and on arrival, after putting my ID on the bar per usual, (as tasked by facility staff) this bartender I don’t recognize blatantly profiled me out of a large group of people, and treated me as if I was a criminal with a fake ID. Promptly asking for a separate employee to come and investigate my ID without any verification tools, just simply looking at it by eye. I’m 25 years of age and they inspected my very legal MO state driver’s license, for what seemed to be 5 minutes while holding up the bar for the rest of the customers trying to enjoy their experience. They told my friend of the same age that they could accept his ID, but not mine. I’ve never had this issue once in my entire adult life, and when I asked if they were serious, they told me I could leave their bar. They didn’t even scan to verify my ID or anything of the sort, they just very blatantly profiled me like I was some type of criminal. I’m a former bud tender in the same city with a Marijuana Agent Card, (& what age do you have to be to legally authorize sale of Marijuana to an individual…. Oh yeah…21… who would’ve guessed.) and these 2 employees can’t even recognize me as the respectable neighbor and citizen that I am. I’ve enjoyed and endorsed their products for years, but they will no longer be getting a single dollar, nor good words from me, until a formal apology is received, and/or those two employees learn proper respect and judgement skills. I ended up going to the Outback Steakhouse, where I was treated with dignity, respect, and enjoyed my drinks elsewhere, at a properly ran establishment, with...
Read moreI really wanted to keep this place a good review. I had an amazing time at the free tasting they provide and ended up buying a bottle. The bar was amazing and fun. Everything was really great until it came to buying a T-shirt that was marked $20.99. It was 40%off. I paid for it and when I looked at the receipt, it looks like they charged me 23.99. I was overcharged three dollars. I can afford it. But it was the principle of the matter and after they refunded me they me up and the total difference ended up being somewhere around $.80. I told the lady it made zero sense and she said it’s just what the system was telling her she did the math manually, but it didn’t make any sense when they took 40% off the original price even though the original price was three dollars over. They should’ve done something for the inconvenience as I was with my children and we had somewhere to be we were standing there for about 10 minutes, waiting for them to figure it out. Apparently they’ve never done an adjustment or refund before because she just looked extremely confused and I got frustrated at the very end and ended up. Just not buying the T-shirt. Really disappointed in resolve a problem. This was about the principle of the matter which I pay what it was advertised as but they played some funky game and blamed it on the...
