Mellow Mushroom Branson — Restaurant in Branson

Food was good if you want to wait over an hour for a small pizza and salad. We first waited 20 min to get a beer or even a water. Our first beer selections off their menu were out. We each selected a different beer once we were told our first choices were not available. Waitress accidentally brought us two wrong beers because the second beer we ordered ended up being out as well. Finally got drinks after waiting 20 min. Waited almost 45 for our salad since the pizza was taking a long time. Would have been more understanding if we had been told earlier in our meal that they were backed up in the kitchen and they could have at least given us our salad to eat while we waited for our small pizza. Manager did come and tell us the kitchen was backed up AFTER already waiting a long time. After an hour, we finally got our small pizza to share. Manager did speak with us and was apologetic, however he did NOTHING to correct this unpleasant experience. We were told early on our first two beers would be comped due to the issues with ordering. Received our full price bill. Spoke to our waitress about the bill not reflecting any changes. Manager took off the salad which was the cheapest portion of our bill. Food was good but the incredibly long wait also resulted in us missing our Branson Scenic Train ride. We went in having plenty of time to eat and get out for our ride. We would have been much more understanding if we would have been told upfront that there was going to be a long wait for food. The restaurant was NOT even at 1/2 capacity so we didn’t expect the long wait. Waitress was very friendly and apologetic however, the manager did not do much to correct this wrong. Walked in with the family ordered some drinks got our drinks and water. Got our silverware then after 10-15 ish minutes the hostess told us we needed to get up and we could sit at the bar as the table was about to be occupied. Looking back I probably should have told my party to finish the drinks and leave without paying. However we had taken a couple sips so rather then walking out we wanted to finish our drinks and pay.

The hostess then said no we need to get up now so they could use the table. So there all 7 of us are standing up in the restaurant. It took quite a bit to get the check after that even though we were randomly standing in the middle of the restaurant. My mom is handicapped and just had her colon removed. I would hope that management does some reflecting on this instance and use it as a training opportunity. After 35mins of waiting for our check the table we were kicked out of still was not in use. Infact by the time we left Not only was the table not filled but no one was waiting for a seat.

Now let me be clear the manager did try to offer us to wait for the table and comp or discount some food however at that time We had been standing nearly 40 minutes with drinks in the middle of a restaurant wondering why we could not just sit down at the empty table. It was uncomfortable. I'd love to give them a real shot as the food looked great. Hopefully it was the hostesses first day or just a random bad day. I can't imagine them...

Let me start that if we had gotten our food out within a respectable time frame they would be a strong 4 1/2 stars. We went while in Branson because it was highly recommended so we thought what the hell. We were told there would be a 45 min wait maybe an HR. We finally got sat after an Hr & 20min(no biggie) after being sat we waited 15min for a waiter/waitress. Finally got our drink orders, appetizers and after waiting so long we knew what we wanted so we ordered everything. Appetizers came out quickly(10min) but we now had food but still no drinks. After 10 more minutes we got drinks. From that point we started noticing that people that had been seated after is have gotten their food and paid and leaving We waited for an hour and 20 min total to finally get our pizza’s. Now the manager did come and apologize and she definitely took care of us on our bill but we were tired and not really hungry anymore by the time the food arrived. Sad because it was delicious as heck for sure. The manager told us in her apology that our waitress was on her second day..... on a super busy night the manager should have guided and helped her newest waitress out so this didn’t happen. We still tipped her over 20% and overall will definitely try them again but just...
