Service was absolutely atrocious. Waitstaff completely aloof. No one made eye contact. There was no wait time for seating. We waited for 30-min while seated at the table and finally flagged down someone to ask for a server to come take our order. At least 4 other tables of people w/bigger groups who came in after us were waited on before us, got their food before us, and left before us. I understand that fresh food takes at least 20-30 minutes to prepare, but it took well over an hour to receive any food. We could have waited in line at another restaurant and still got served faster than this place. Once we got a waitress, she was both polite and anxious. I was nervous about the quality of food because we complained of not being waited on and the waitresses anxiousness. The food was good, but not worth that wait. Meatloaf was closest to my own recipe that I’ve ever had and I liked it. Not a fan of the potato salad which was mushy and whipped like mashed potatoes. I do not understand why they put peas in their potato salad? Rolls were tasty but the edges were dry as if they had been sitting out for a while. My husband said that Pizza Ranch chicken was actually better than then roasted chicken he was served. What’s the point of waiting on homestyle food if a corporate chain food tastes just as good and it’s cheaper? The waitress brought out food sides that did not belong to us and failed to ask us if we wanted refills on drinks. We had not eaten anything all day. So by the time we got our food, I was nauseous and couldn’t eat much. A table of 2 took at least an hour and twenty minutes with no wait time for seating. Maybe they need to reevaluate how they manage their tables? They had at least 3 waitresses and 1 host on duty. We could see at least 2 cooks from where we were sitting. Absolutely no reason why we were treated horribly. One of the worst restaurant experiences ever. We probably should have walked out after waiting 30-minutes for a server to come wait on us but we had already walked a long way in the heat because there’s no parking close by and we didn’t want to wait another 30 minutes standing in line to get in a restaurant nearby. The food is actually pretty economical and that’s one of the reasons why we chose this restaurant. However, I am very sad to say that I cannot recommend Branson Café based off of poor service and wait time. We will not return and will not recommend to friends/family. Good service pays for word-of-mouth free advertising. I hope they make improvements on their service for...
Read moreCame here around 330pm on a Saturday it was slow. First off the waitress Kim got us our waters but didn’t give us straws. My husband had to stop her and he said can we get some straws please? Kim retorted with “please?” Apparently she didn’t hear my husband ask please and so she decided to correct him like he was a child. That was strike one but that was water under the bridge. We made our orders. My husband ordered a bacon cheeseburger and I ordered the skillet with eggs potatoes gravy and biscut. My husbands meal was fine but my meal was very bland and tasteless. I asked for the gravy on the side and the gravy was like watery and it tasted like watery milk. Potatoes were cold and rough. I asked for scrambled eggs and it was cut up in squares. The food just wasn’t good I was expecting maybe some onions, bell peppers, cheese lol something. I called over Kim and told her politely that I didn’t literally like the food. She said “well that’s why people put the gravy on it”. That was strike two. I had already tasted the gravy I didn’t ask for her assistance on how to eat a meal that I clearly don’t like. So she goes to get her manager. I didn’t catch the managers name but she had a short cut with white hair. The manager Came over and said “what’s the problem” strike three. What do U mean what’s the problem? That is NOT how you approach a paying customer . I explained that I didn’t like the food and that it was bland. Do u know this lady looked at me like I was crazy for not liking the food? She looked at me like I had something on my face. She then grabbed my plate with a WHOLE ATTITUDE, ans asked if i wanted something else. I nicely asked for a cheeseburger. She swiftly walked off— her attitude apparent as if I annoyed her. By this time this place was out of strikes. Thankfully Kim was pleasant for the rest of our dining. But the experience overall was uncomfortable and unpleasant. The people here need to learn how to treat paying customers. The food is simple and cheap. It’s ok. Better service would be nice. This isn’t the first time in Branson I’ve experienced unpleasant...
Read moreWe went in Saturday for a late lunch and was seated at a table in the back by the kitchen and had a server named Logan. We sat and heard all the drama that day about everyone being in a bad mood who worked there. We ordered coffee and water in which we were told we can only have one cup because that was their last pot of coffee. Confused, we said ok. We had 5 people at our table. We ordered an appetizers but never got any plates or utensils so I had to get up and get them myself from the bins. From our orders we added a sweet potato fries which came with 10 fries for $3.50 and were cold. I returned the fries to the server. Then he handed me a chef salad and said “the cook made the wrong salad so I won’t charge you for this”. I proceeded to remove all the ham from the salad and ate it anyways since I was under the impression it was no charge. The green beans and were chili were cold. We didn’t say much until he handed me the bill. It showed I was charged 5.99 for the garden salad. I proceeded to say I thought I would not be charged. He then said “no I’m not going to charge you for the chef salad which is more expensive”. WHAT?! It’s a salad, why didn’t you just remake it then? I literally had to pick off the ham since I don’t eat ham. I told him I would have sent it back had I known that. Then he proceeded to tell Me that they closed an hour ago ! The cook then in the back came out hysterically laughing obnoxiously as if I was in the wrong! So rude. I told him I didn’t know that. Why would you let us in then?! We were just walking by and the sign clearly showed open. Again this servers name was LOGAN. He was absolutely terrible and rude. The food was terrible and very disappointing. If you can’t serve quality food, then don’t let people in. Also train your servers how to provide good customer service. I always tip 20% but absolutely couldn’t because of this experience. I do not recommend...
