It was just okay. We stopped at Clockers Cafe for breakfast on a Tuesday morning around 9 am. It wasn't too busy and we got a booth right away. Our server, Shawna was super nice and attentive. We ordered: - Coffees and waters - Giant Cinnamon Roll - Eggs Benedict with Hollandaise on the side and Home Fries - Omelet with Ham, Onion and Cheddar with English Muffin and side of Hash Browns The cinnamon roll came out first as we wanted. While it was tasty, it definitely was not huge. For cinnamon rolls, this was average to small in size. At $5.99 though, it was priced fairly. My omelet was nice. The English Muffin was saturated with butter or Whirl. My hashbrowns were a big disappointment. The top of them were extra crispy and crumbled when eaten (overcooked). The hashbrowns underneath looked okay but were floating in a bath of cooking oil (Whirl perhaps). My wife's Eggs Benedict was decent as was the sauce. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Her home fries were large chunks of fried potatoes. They didn't seemed seasoned at all and they were cut too large. We have half of our meals leftover and will be eating them at home tomorrow morning. I packed my hashbrowns on top of a napkin to absorb the grease/Whirl so those should fry up nice. For my wife's home fries, I'll season them when I reheat them. So I'm calling Clockers Cafe average for the food and excellent for the service.

The wife planned for us to eat here from the reviews during our first trip to Branson. We were a little let down. Wife ordered the perfect platter homestyle French toast with sausages and a side of grits. The French toast was ok. She enjoyed the grits. I had the country fried platter with sirloin steak with overeasy eggs and wheat toast. I received my plate with sunny side up eggs and white toast. After cutting into my steak the country fried batter came off the steak so it was kind of like eating steak with gravy. The staff is very friendly but seemed overwhelmed because it was busy. The booth seating is like a booth that was split to accommodate two guests on the same table. It took a while for us to order and the couple next to us that we were talking to even remarked that they barely sat down a few mins before us and ordered way before we got to. As I said earlier parts of my order was wrong. They didn't come check on us much so they didn't refill my wife's coffee unless she flagged some down and asked for it. We were given the wrong bill when we were trying to pay. If it wasn't so busy it probably would've been a better experience.

I THINK I've only given one other 1star rating, I really hate to do so, but this truly was a terrible experience. First we walk in and immediately see they must have been slammed. Myself and my daughter, both former servers, along with my son-in-law and son had sympathy for the situation so we waited to be seated, since every open table was dirty and not bussed, it was a mess. We were just fine waiting, then a couple came in and bunched in behind us. Still okay, we're not unreasonable and have A LOT of empathy for busy servers and kitchen workers, we really do. But we kept seeing one particular server who kept coming out and "joking" to her seated customers, that she was quitting, was going to leave, and that they were short handed, no busser, etc. Okay, unprofessional, but understandable, HOWEVER- she never even acknowledged us, not in the least, not a glance or a nod, or a "we're so sorry, we'll get to you as soon as possible. I had never been there before, I didn't know what to do. The couple who came in behind us said maybe we should just sit down at a table? We decided right away NOT to sit at the server's section who totally ignored us. I was getting a little ticked by then. Absolutely rude to act as if customers are invisible, no matter how busy you may be! Both us and the other couple sat down at dirty tables. I noticed they also chose not to sit it "that" server's section. Finally, a server comes out to take our drink orders and wipe off our table... I could go on about how "that" server sat customers who came in long after us in her section and how they ALL got their food BEFORE the couple who stood behind us and BEFORE us... AND how a VERY DISGRUNTLED KITCHEN WORKER came storming out of the kitchen cussing up a storm about how he hated this place and how they are all "b1+¢#3$! and effing this and that...yes that happened! 😳 And how the onion rings we ordered were mostly uncooked dough filling up the middle, when we watch the table diagonal to us, (who got there way after us) have perfect onion rings, WAY BEFORE ours got to us. Oh, and how when we showed our server the goo inside the rings she told us to just give them a review ( so I AM😒) and then proceeded to blamed it all on the fact that nobody wants to work, they were slammed, short staffed and the presidency and yadda yadda, and I am like, yes, I can understand that. We were servers at very busy establishments that were regularly slammed, sometimes with not enough staff, BUT come on! Treat people with common decency and don't blame the lazy world, the kitchen staff and our President for the poor service. (she had no idea what our political persuasion was, it wasn't appropriate to say that to customers, in my opinion. What if we were die hard democrats? We might have just left with out leaving her a tip.) My heart did go out to her, but I still have a bad taste in my mouth for that other server. We didn't have to pay for the uncooked dough balls, I mean onion rings, well that should have been a given, and she gave us the local discount, but, it was still an awful dining experience. The food was eh🙁 and the service was some of the worst I've ever seen. I was physically shaken after the disgruntled employee left and honestly feared he might come back. And I couldn't help but wonder, even though it was totally inappropriate to leave a job like that, yell cussing all the way out, HOW was he treated to merit such an emotional response? I can tell you. I won't ever risk going there again. Life's too short. Go where you're respected and the employees are not...

On vacation in Branson for the first time. Did an online search for a breakfast restaurant. Pictures of the food looked really good. We were very excited. Unfortunately that’s where the excitement ended. Our first encounter with the wait staff was very impersonable. She came to the table only close enough to drop off a menu and place settings, never looked us in the face and just said “I’ll be back with you in a minute”, it was an EXTREMELY COLD GREETING. Then once back about 5 minutes later, I asked her if she had a children menu as I just had gastric surgery 3 months ago and my stomach was only 4 oz. She told me that she was not allowed to let me order off of the kids menu unless I was a kid. I explained to her that there is no way I can eat even 10% of any regular meal. She just stared at me with a straight laced face (no expression) and said NO! She never even offered to go speak to anyone for an exception. I asked her again, “really”, again she said NO! I just can’t believe that some smart discretion isn’t used in a situation as mine. I get the underlying reason for the rule, but to be steadfast about it is ridiculous. Here I am, I have struggled with weight all my life, I was 331 lbs 4 months ago, and now 247 lbs (84 lbs down), and they feel the need to have to charge me for a plate of food that I CAN’T possibly eat, while being OK to pay for a full meal for my wife. I had my wife order since we were already here, I told her to take back my drink I ordered since I wasn’t eating, there was no need for a drink. I watched my wife eat, and that was it. with the emotionless wait staff and the rule for my specific situation, I would rather spend my money in a place that can appreciate my situation and my business. There are PLENTY of other establishments on the same block, we will be trying them tomorrow. Please, if you are reading this review, consider a different place that’s...

Although this is not going to be a good review, I do want to start off by saying something good. We visit Branson several times a year, and have visited Clockers quite a few times. We have always loved the food, service and atmosphere, and look forward to it when we plan our trips. With that being said, this was not the experience we had this time.We visited Clockers Cafe a few days ago. They were busy, as they always have been when we’ve been there. When we walked in, we were greeted and the server started to take us toward the back.We stopped and asked to sit at a booth, and she seated us, but seemed irritated with us just for being there. We both ordered breakfast, which we waited quite a while to receive. We both ordered eggs over-medium, which were actually cooked over-easy and were barely room temperature. Bacon, sausage, toast, hash-browns, pancakes…all cold. Cold as soon as we received it. We do not like sending our food back or causing a scene so we ate what we could tolerate eating. The attitudes of the servers that day were not friendly or professional. Every one of them seemed more irritated with having customers than thankful to have them. I actually watched one server complaining to a customer about another customer being “too needy”. Wow. Also, an elderly man with a walker entered and wanted to sit by the door so it would be easier for his wife. The server was rude to him about his need and told him “I’ll let it slide this time, but this section is closed”. Really? He was elderly, wearing a veteran hat, and deserved respect. And it was noon, and busy…Why say a section is closed? At noon? Our server was less than friendly, at best, and we were ready to leave. So we paid and left. This cafe seems to have changed since we’ve been there before, and unfortunately we do not intend to...
