Great little place with an all-star wait staff. I ordered the combination Branson rice and was charged $8 extra. It was very strange as it was $12 plus $2 per protein extra, which was fine. So I ordered chicken, which was included in the price, then shrimp, which they put only 3 pieces in and beef and tofu. Tofu didn't come with the dish at all, and I should have been charged $4 instead of $8 seeing I only added 2 proteins not 4 as chicken came with it and they totally blew me off on the tofu, so look your bill over before you pay.
Spring rolls didn't have shrimp like every other thai restaurant does. The rice paper wrap was a bit hard like it wasn't soaked as long as it needed to be, so I would skip those. The pork egg rolls were descent, though
The tables are extremely tight in here, so expect to be eating a foot from your neighbor's. This being said, I got an upclose and personal view of the pad Thai, the table to my right, and to my left had, and it looked good, so maybe stick with that.
Roads are under construction, so you have to park at the train station and walk to...
Read moreWe ordered the papaya salad, Panay curry, and the special beef soup which is pictured what is sent out vs what they show and describe in the menu. The papaya salad was not bad, but at the bottom of papaya salads I've had and didn't have all the ingredients described in the menu and flavor was just not there, the special beef soup tasted exactly like beef bullion cubes in water with basil. No other flavor whatsoever. And again while digging through the soup it did not have all the ingredients listed on the menu, and literally had no flavor other than beef of bullion and the basil leaf. The curry had good flavor but was was very, very, empty of contents, and runny as water. Curry is supposed to be a semi thick rich sauce that clings to the rice and vegetables. Not water. But it did have good flavor to the water.
Sorry Thai kitchen but the 3 items we had were at the very bottom of our Thai restaurants and food choices in general. Live locally and will definitely...
Read moreExcellent! Got there right when it opened. Within 20 minutes there was not an empty seat. I can see why now. They started everyone out with a complimentary cup of soup which was a very nice touch on a cold day. Great menu, fabulous Thai food and drinks (boba teas!) and even better service. I would definitely come back!
I had to edit this review and remove one of the stars as I had ordered two fried rice entrees to go - one green curry seafood and the other was with pineapple and cashews. Upon opening the containers it seemed they forgot to fry the rice or add any seasonings - definitely no curry. Entrees consisted of bland white rice with some ingredients added and almost no taste at all. I would not recommend the fried rice entrees. There is definitely room for...
