Waffle House — Restaurant in Burlington

Well ..I have been to many Waffle houses in this area and others out of state, I even went to the Waffle House Collage in Atanta where at least 7 pages of Waffle Houses are located in what was an Atlanta phone book]. So I mean it when I say that this one is special .The cook was exceptionally talented and I have seen a lot. You should clone her! Really you should seriously.... It is a shame that all my Waffle House visits couldn't be like that one. The All Star was perfect I watched the cook making omletts that looked. Fabulous without missing a beat on all the other orders. It was an amazing display of business professionalism, and good work ethic. If I owned a Waffle House I'd want her over a whole region. To teach the chefs how Waffle House food is prepared. She's that good of a cook!. Everything...

The ONLY reason I give 4 stars and not 5 is because the sausage patty on my SEC sandwich was a good bit thicker than normal, so it didnt spread across the whole sandwich to give that "yummy bit in every bite" that I love so much. Instead, only abiut half the bites had a big thick hunk of sausage! Im very picky about my WaHo.

But, food tasted great, cooked all the way... Place was very clean, nice energy given off by everyone... staff was nice, and server was great!

Side note... My service was great, so I made sure to leave a 20%+ gratuity. Just wanted to take the opportunity to remind you all to make sure you do the same for your servers if they go above and beyond. I know Waffle House is not the most glamorous restaurant, but sometimes, you just want some good ole fashioned short-order grill style food quickly at an inexpensive price. However, most of my recent Waffle House experiences were not what they used to be, and I stopped visiting them entirely. On a whim, I stopped in here, and this is what Waffle House should be. The waitress was friendly, patient, allowed us to customize the order, and checked on us frequently. The food was excellent too and arrived quickly. I was in dire need of coffee, and that was perfect too. The atmosphere at this location is great as well. I ended up talking with two other people there, and the place has an overall friendly atmosphere. Definitely visit...
