I admit I could be more careful dealing with the place but I got too relaxed since it's expected to be a relaxed movie night. I ordered a "Robert Mondavi Pinot..." from the online menu expecting it is a Pino Noir, same as other two kinds of Pinot Noir in the menu above. It turned out to be Pinot Grigio. I asked the server if we can have a red wine instead an the server went for a replacement. While waiting for a replacement I checked the order and found that I've been charged for both glasses. I tried to refresh the order and occasionally pressed the button to pay. So I got charged for an extra glass + 20% tips on top of 20% of service fee. I went out and asked the server to help to fix the transaction and he tried to help but he needed a manager's help to deal with the transaction. The manager didn't bother talking to me and talked to the server like I am not existing. The server told me later I will get a partial refund in 2-3 business days. I also remember previously at this place I had to remind about my order that has been charged but not delivered to the room. It took some time for the waiter to double check and eventually bring the order while I've been waiting instead of watching the movie. I believe it's a great idea to serve food at the theater and the food itself is very good but given the quality of the service and the app I'd suggest to enjoy a dinner somewhere else if you want to watch the movie...
Read moreIâm a bar newbie, I donât typically drink out often or even go out to bars so it was my first experience in a bar setting. I came here with a girl friend, and we were confused and just seated ourselves. Cedar Room is kind of hidden in the back of the plaza with an open entrance and is next to the movie theater! It has open entrances (to the plaza and to movies) so I was unsure if people were able to take their drinks and head to the movies with it!
Since I donât have experience at bars, I wouldâve thought the servers would check up on you or ask if youâre ready to order. But nope! We had to personally get up from our seats and go up to the bar and order, create a tab, etc. then the servers will bring out our drinks to the table.
We went on Happy Hour which was 4pm-6pm, and selected cocktails/wines were $8 (orig. $12). I ordered the La Paloma w/ salt and the Blue Hawaiian (which wasnât on their HH menu or menu at all). I liked their drinks, the La Paloma was not strong and I can taste the lime and grapefruit flavors. And for the Blue Hawaiian, I liked how it tasted coconut-y. I think they have certain drinks on âTiki Tuesdaysâ when those tropical cocktails.
Overall it was a good experience at a bar for my first time, Iâll be sure to come back again... their other...
Read moreA few weeks ago a group of us were in Campbell wedding dress shopping and decided to check out this place for some after shopping drinks. We were having a great time, our server said âthe manager loves you guysâ and proceeded to bring us jello shots repeatedly. We were told they were complimentary for the occasion; cool right?? No. We go to pay and see multiple charges for these shots that we DID NOT order. The bartender said âwhy would I give you all of those for free?â. We requested that they be taken off but he refused and ran the card anyways (May I also say they automatic 20% tip on groups larger than 6). We then requested to see the receipt for which he charged and he refused to give us one and kicked us out. We tried reasoning with him but he eventually had us ESCORTED AWAY all the while refusing to give us the receipt.
Completely unprofessional and rude. Avoid this place by all means if you donât want to get up charged so they can make a better tip. So ridiculous. Way to ruin a special...
