So this is tricky as a review.
We ( I ) have never been to this location. In fact I don't eat at Panera, so, this truly was my first encounter. I Received some secret Santa gift cards. So the three of stopped in Sunday Evening.
Upon entering this location, it is very welcoming and busy. The take out traffic. Seats taken with customers and people lounging is quite nice. Clean and bright.
Being new I had questions. And the counter girl was more then happy to answer them. I ordered a pick 2. Chicken BLT and large chilli. Everything is an upgrade, nickels and dimes ! !. We also ordered the French dip pick two with large Mac and cheese. As well as a Mac and cheese bread bowl and caeser salad.
Upgrading charges I would not normally have issue with when the upgrade substantiates it. Which in all three cases did not.
We waited 17 minutes to get our food ! While take out after take out came and went. This location seems to quickly prepare and get door dash and take out orders taken care of while the dine inn customers are left standing along the wall to wonder when they are next. This is a sure 3 star or lower experience. Our order once done. Was not done correctly. Bacon in Mac and cheese which was NOT wanted. So the girl redid the bread bowl Mac and cheese. She did do what was on the ticket, so it was not her mistake but a type on the counter persons part. FYI.
Lemonade is very good. Iced tea it crisp and good also. No complaints with the beverages except an unusual amount of small flies near the beverage station. Indicative of lack of sanitizing from the sugars present from spillage.
Onto the food. Chilli was very good. Piping hot and had a nice seasoning kick to it. Mac and cheese was creamy and good. Sandwiches were good.
Now. Three stars comes into play when you get a $ 56.00 and some change bill for two half sandwiches and bowls of chilli and Mac and cheese as well as a small bread bowl Mac and cheese and a salad. OUCH ! This is NOT a financially good decision to eat here.
But. The atmosphere is very pleasant. The food is or was very tasty. Maybe put more actual meat on the sandwiches. They were a little thin !
Overall. Taste is not the issue. Friendly staff is not the issue. Building is not the issue.
It's the emphasis on take out and drive through over standing customers waiting and VALUE for the money or lack there of.
Will I return. Not without a gift card to take some of the wallet whipping away. Was it a good experience. YES ! Did I enjoy my...
Read moreI don't know what's going on with Panera Bread these days, but it is not at all the same and it's awful. Came to this location because it's one of the few I've seen that still has a big dining room with comfortable seating and I greatly enjoyed frequenting this store when I lived closer. Wow, how the mighty have fallen.
There is a noticable change in the quality of Panera's food every store I've gone to in the past year. (of course, the prices keep going up though!) All the bread has this aftertaste like frozen hamburger buns do after you thaw them. They no longer have the panini presses and instead have these dirty glass ovens. Every store I've seen has these things now and they're always filthy looking. The soup and salad comes in ugly stained white plastic bowls that are never filled even halfway whereas they used to have nice ceramic bowls with generous portions. No lemon slices, butter, honey, cinnamon or nutmeg in the lobby which used to be a staple of every visit not all that long ago.
The service? Wow, Panera, really?? You cut the staff in half, only seem to hire teens, and overwork them. No wonder they're so stressed and avoidant of customers. Not at all like the friendly, happy, mature ladies I used to see at the registers or the college age kids in the kitchen/dining room. Customer service ought to be a priority of your company with what you are charging, yet it's obvious you only hire bare minimum wage workers now. GREED. Shame on you.
Loved this place several years ago when I was a regular. I was hopeful on this visit that I'd have the same relaxing dining experience even if the food wasn't quite the same. NOPE. Not even close! It makes me sad to see how this company has declined in every way imaginable and I'm done. Save your money, people,...
Read morei’ve been coming here at least 1-2x a week for a while, and more than once MONTOYA has ruined my experience with her bad attitude and snarky behavior. Before, I actually gave her a 20% tip in order to teach her kindness. I decided to speak with a manager today though because I had enough after she argued with me over something as stupid as bread. Today, i asked for an apple because they accidentally gave me two breads. She kept insisting that IM the one who ordered 2 breads, and i told her I PROMISE i ordered 1 apple 1 bread, i get the same order every single time. Instead of just grabbing an apple like any productive person would do, she stood there going back and forth with me. Mind you, the cashier at the drive thru ringing up my order kept messing it up, i repeated it three times but did not get mad or make a big deal out of it, figured she was new, but here Montoya is blaming me when it’s clear their employees do not receive adequate training. Upon bringing me my apple, she tells me to confirm what i want next time, which is hilarious considering my order was repeated what felt like a million times. I don’t know if they’re understaffed or what but there’s no justifiable excuse to have miserable employees working for your restaurant and mistreating customers. When i asked to speak to the manager, Montoya gave me a snide smile and nod with a very sarcastic tone. The manager was kind and promised he’d address it but considering she’s been acting this way for months, I get the impression nothing is going to happen and that she will continue...
