Panda Express — Restaurant in Cape Girardeau

It's difficult for me not to leave a business with a 5 star review. We've been here a few times though so I just can't. The staff is nice. The food is good. The tables are not always cleaned in between customers and I've never seen them sanitized!! 😐 We often see gunk on the tables... The storage room is always left open on your way to the bathroom. The floors are not cleaned. The bathroom door is SO Heavy (but I know that's common of bathroom doors). There's only 1 true handicapped table that's provided. These are all things you may not notice unless you are handicapped with a Wheelchair and/or Service Dog. Even parking can be a little tricky as some non-handicapped drivers will still park right up on you in the handicapped parking space making loading very difficult. Cleanliness is SO important!! Stopped here yesterday while shopping in Cape and ordered a teriyaki chicken bowl with lo mein and super greens. I was too hot to eat it so I brought it home with me. Got it out of the fridge today and while eating, I bit into a staple or some type of small piece of metal. This incident could've ended badly and it was a scary and disturbing moment. I was already disappointed with the fatty chicken that I was served but I like Panda Express and would've overlooked that. Metal in my food can't be overlooked. It's dangerous and I could've choked or been severely hurt by it. Shame on whoever is to blame for not being more careful with your food products. I won't be eating at this location again and I don't know if I will ever eat at any Panda Express...

Food always good. Biggest turn off is that their kitchen doesn't seem to be well managed. I've been there at supper time (530ish) multiple times and they are out of 10 of the approx 12 items. They don't even apologize, tell me I'll have to wait 15 min, and act like I have the issue. They'll only have 1 grill going and eventually they'll fire up the 2nd grill. I have been there and watched people leave from the inside line and pull out of line in the drive thru. Speaking of drive through, check your order. Had a lady at the window argue with me that I had everything with someone behind her trying to get her attention to give her the rest of my order.
