First of all, structure or the building is being remodeled or updated, idk but they don't have a safe walking space from the subterranean parking lot. I had to walk thru the ramp you come in with your car. I witness two families one of 4 and one of 5 with children. We all fallowed the sings to find alternative exits. There were non, stairs for the lobby area were closed and elevators were blocked with trashcans saying “out of Service” so we began to reed every wall marking and signs for a safer exit, and again there were non, we walked thru the ramp and went to eat. Once we are seated the waitress took along time to come to table, once she arrived she did not introduce her self. When we ordered our drinks at arrival time she never asked if we wanted anything else she just left. Once drinks came, she was still very cold and very pushy, almost rushing us with her body language. Her energy was negative. Once again she leaves the table with out asking if we needed or wanted anything else, she left us alone. When the food came she ya ve me plastic utensils. I wanted metal onces becouse in ordered a stake. When appetizers came to the table she left them and left and did not ask if we wanted anything else again. At that point i need napkins from a messy chicken wing order (appetizers) she never gave me the chance to tell her i needed napkins and metal utensils. At this point the food had arrived and i had to ask the manager to change the waitress and the other tables were also a little confused. We all know the restaurant Buisness has suffered because of covid. When i leave my home to find a good environment to enjoy my food and be treated amazing! I only expect great service regardless of the condition of the business service needs to be amazing. Treat the paying customers well and have manners. Maybe the employees are being over worked and they are tired. Some one need to access whats going on and fix it. Maybe waitress needs a re train, her body language can not show me the paying costumer she stressed out at work. Maybe she needs some one to help her out. Idk. But i wont be coming anytime soon. And i will be talking to others about my experience. The quality of my food was good, thee other employees were amazing, nice and very well mannered. Manger who helped me was amazing he had braids on and made everything very relaxed and he was amazing fixing what the waitressed had killed. I hope this...

I really don't like complaining but when you get poor service and cold food you have to take a stand.
Here's the highlights.
Food - Cold Environment - OK Wifi - not sure Service - slow. Value for money - Not really. Would I go there again? - No.
OK so here we are in Puerto Rico and all that we want is breakfast. There were 5 adults, 3 locals and 2 British. We arrived at around 9.45 and we were promptly seated. The waitress took our order and then we had "the long wait". While other people around us were ordering and getting their food and drinks, we were left waiting. At around 10.15 our drinks arrived followed by our food. One of our party had to wait a little longer but eventually it arrived.
I am always disappointed when the food on the plate doesn't match the picture on the menu but you know, we were hungry and started eating. After a couple of mouthfuls I asked "is it just me or is the food cold?" My wife said that hers wasn't hot and so did everyone else.
We promptly asked to speak to the manager who's response seemed to be to negotiate a discount of 15%. I said "no we are not paying for the cold food" but our hosts who were locals said "no we can''t do that, they'll take us to court". I explained that if they settle for poor service and cold food then they will always get poor service and cold food!
We left to go to the checkout and the manager then refunded 2 meals out of the 5 meals.
I have worked in the service industry for over 20 years and I know that you're better off keeping the customer happy and finding a way to resolve the issue than to leave an unhappy customer.
Denny's appears to be a franchise and if I were the franchisor I'd want to know if the franchisee was serving cold food and poor service.
I am hoping that the Franchisor will ask what went wrong.
I am not looking for a refund nor a voucher to use the next time that I visit a Denny's, I just want people to respect customers and provide what they claim to provide.

Read moreAbsolutely terrible service. This restaurant is just a couple of blocks from where I live, so it is very convenient for me, so I used to visit a couple of times a week. Many times I get terrific, spot on service, sometimes it is a little slow, but nothing to get upset about. I even thought it was a little odd that they were making people wait a half hour around the holidays when the restaurant was not even half full. The past couple visits have been awful, though. In fact, I just walked out. During my visit today, the hostess seated me and after sitting there for 15 minutes without anyone even stopping by for my drink order (they weren't even very busy), I asked her if someone had been assigned to my table. She ran off for a minute and came back to take my drink order (she may not have understood me, but if she had indicated that, I would put it into Google translate - not a big deal). So I wait for another 15 minutes...again, not that busy...no drinks, no one to take my food order. All the other employees were just kind of acting like I wasn't there (even though some of them had served me before). I'm an easy customer...I don't complain (until now), I spend money on drinks, and I usually leave 20%...I don't need special treatment, but I'm a little upset that no one could take the initiative after seeing me sit there for a half an hour to get someone over to my table to take my order. It seems like the service is better when the manager is out on the floor, that wasn't the case today. In any case, I won't be back...
