AMANTI BAKERY LLC — Restaurant in Chambersburg

The food is very good, no complaints there, but they really need to work on their customer service. When we first got there we were confused because the sign was blinking on and off “open”, but there was another sign that said closed. We tried going in but it was locked. We called and they said they were receiving a delivery in the back - okay, understandable. We were waiting a moment and the door was opened. We were told that they close at 2:30 on Tuesdays (when we got there it was about 2:45), we asked if they could update their hours then because it’s not accurate to what they have posted on their front door and on google (it closes at 7). She ended up letting us in because of the confusion but she never smiled, didn’t make eye contact, and looked so unhappy there. Even if you’re in a bad mood, you should still greet your customers with a smile - always. Food was amazing, but service...

This is a lovely little bakery located right off route 30 in a busy section of Chambersburg, close to the schools and hospital. I ran in quickly to pick up a couple of items for my husband for work and will definitely be back- friendly staff, lovely presentation of edible artwork- the cakes and deserts, lovely treats were presented so nicely! There was just the right amount of music in the background -Nice clean little bakery where you can tell the bakers pour their heart and soul into their creations. I always like to go back to a place where you are met with a smile and kind word and when the product is outstanding, or far beyond what you may find in other comparable storefronts, it’s a no brainer. Upon arrival the door was closed and I saw that the open sign was on and I decided to call and the employee said she was in the back and she will be meeting me at the door. Then the employee claimed that the place closed at 2:30 today 4/1/2025 and I responded with that everything says that it’s open. She heard what I said and opened the door to let me in and I was confused on the situation. So then I followed up by asking, so are you open now?? She followed up with saying yes. Then I looked around and decided to buy something. Later on I tried the thres leche cake I bought and it tasted very stale and didn’t even have an expiration label on it. For all I know I could’ve been sold something that was months past expiration and didn’t even know. If I get sick from this I know who to make responsible… avoid this place...
