Can I ask how clothes are deemed not in style when the jeans are one of your listed brands you prefer to buy and sell and they were all purchased in the last 3 months or so? Jeans in styles skinny, slim, regular and athletic that have only been worn once or twice each, were expensive and pointed out to me by staff of that high end merchant as hot ticket items and in fashion and were very expensive. After them all being declined I figured I'd see what was on the racks and the selection of the type of items I brought in were d fairly limited and found several examples on the racks of items with stains and worn out labels. Was it maybe because I'm a mod 30s man that there was an assumption made and the buyer held a bias and didn't even evaluate my items? Also, what's up with me bringing things in ironed and folded nicely and everything just being undone and shoved into a basket like my son did when he was 9?
This was a little while ago I wanted to wait so that there couldn't be the assumption that it was current staff that did this because I don't know how seriously you take these reviews and if anybody on the staff is ever talked to about the reviews of less than favorable experiences by people. But just in a very small basket I brought you guys over $1,000 worth of merchandise that I would have taken whatever dollar amount was offered because it wasn't just Paramount that I received all kinds of cash I was doing it so that nice clothes would be made available to people for a much cheaper price than retail and to make room in my closet so you guys could have literally offered me five bucks for an entire basket which in a sense would have been very disrespectful for pretty much anybody else that's bringing in clothes for sale but for me and my specific situation I would have taken it gladly because for me specifically it wasn't about the money. I know that's not the case and I would hope that you give people an equitable dollar amount for their merchandise but I highly doubt anything that I brought in was actually looked at and that the clothes were just tossed around to make it look like they were because if I'm being honest the styles were much more geared to younger people than 37-year-old man. And a wide range of styles of jeans in color texture fit everything and all of them were nicer than the very limited selection that was present on the rack. So just really didn't make sense and it seems like the issue here is zero accountability too much power being given to a young person to make decisions and then using their own bias and nothing else to make their decisions and that's a really awful business model coming from a successful business owner myself who actually does consultations for small medium and large businesses or corporations as well as non-profit organizations from situations like this all the way to interpersonal issues amongst staff or between staff and customer or client and conflict resolution and a lot of it resolves around the way that bias seeps in subconsciously and causes us as employees and management or owners to make really poor decisions and based on my experience and the reviews that I see I think you guys could honestly use my services if nothing else because bias is definitely ruling this realm and that's a shame because I had a lot of really nice stuff that I know people would have wanted because 18-year-olds recommended them to me because it's what they and their friends wear so they were new they were more than in fashion and everything was top of the line brand and the explanation of stock being a consideration is not applicable here so if you'd like to talk I'd be more than happy to offer a substantial discount for a consultation and to come in and help evaluate the efficacy of current systems and approaches being applied to the public that you would not be able to operate without. I gave a three-star review because I didn't want to negatively affect your average and right now you have a 3.3 star rating so I figured I'd hit you right there instead the honest one...
Read moreSELLER BEWARE!!! I took a bag of gently used clothing items in here, and I had my items evaluated by an older woman while I was browsing. When I went back up to the counter, I was surprised to see she only took 2 items from the entire bag. She explained that they don’t take items from kohls, which is totally fine, but left behind were items from North Face, Columbia, Nike, Banana Republic, and American Eagle denim that I had only worn one time, among many other things that were in almost brand new condition. I have a friend who swaps her clothing for store credit here often, and I let her go through the remaining items, and she was shocked to see what they didn’t take, so we did an experiment: she added my items to her bag, went into the store the following week, had a YOUNGER girl look at them, and almost all of my remaining items were accepted. That stuff was less than a year old. It was still in style and was barely worn. The younger employees seem to have a better grasp on how to curate for their clientele, as this store generally caters to a younger crowd. Keep that in mind when you go there. I’ll give the place an extra star because you CAN find some decent deals in there, and I will likely go in there to peruse, but I won’t take any clothes in ever again unless I know I’ll get the right employee to look over them. (PS— You guys had Lauren Conrad on the racks. That is a Kohl’s...
Read moredon’t sell here. i brought in a tote full of jeans (schools just starting) and athletic clothes (which it claimed on their site they needed) and they didn’t even ACTUALLY go through my tote… almost all of the jeans are still folded and they took 1 pair (the only pair with tags still on them) that weren’t even cute or trendy… hence why they still had the tags on them and sat in my closet for 3 years…they didn’t have a good shopping selection for jeans in my size either… so i figured they’d take them, but nope. i gave them an abundance of nike running shorts and spandex that were basically brand new from a volleyball season i didn’t end up playing, and they didn’t even take 1 pair!! they took a couple tank tops… even though it’s almost october and that was about it. they also left my bin a complete mess…. if the jeans were still folded cause yall didn’t even look at em… you could at least have the decency to put them back in 1 stack on the side of the bin.. You can definitely tell the girls working there have absolutely no work ethic and kinda just sit around and talk and look around brainlessly. they’re clothes selection isn’t that great either. i normally love places like this and plato’s closet, and nothing they had really caught my eye…i would rather go down to marshall’s and have a better selection and price for brand...
