We were pleased with the front desk clerk's excellent service at check-in and like the hotel's newly renovated look. That changed with unbelievably hostile attitudes of the staff and managers when the ceiling of the front desk started leaking water. I pulled my phone out to take a picture. A older staff rushed over and angrily demanded that I delete the picture asking me how I'd feel if somebody came to my house and took pictures. I didn't make anything of it since picture taking was not a big deal , but the staff were standing in front of me staring with look of contempt like I've just commited a crime. Later, we heard sounds of people in the hallway outside our room on 2nd floor for sometime. We walked to the laundry room we saw a group of people standing in the hallway with an Indian lady manager. My wife asked the people standing if they have water in their room. She thought they were being moved out of their rooms because of water leak. They seemed to not know about the water leaks. We went into our room. Later we went down to the lobby to look and get coffee. An Indian male manager, rushed over to us and angrily started reprimanding that we should not butt into their business and that they will have to ask us to leave if we don't comply with their demands adding although it would not be done like the United Airline's manner-(dragging by arms and legs). He said that because we told other guests about the water leak, he had a several phone calls from concerned guests and he had to explain there's no emergency. My wife and I were totally blind-sided and shocked by their extremely hostile controlling behavior. We responded by saying that guests has right to talk to each other. The manager was relentless in his extremely unprofessional behavior that we were arguing for half an hour. I called La Quinta Return number to asked to get my Return points I used for the stay. I told the ill-behaving manager that I was just talking to my wife because of how nice this hotel was and the excellent service at check-in, I was thinking of choosing this hotel my favorate La Quinta. It has crashed from the top of the list to the bottom pretty quickly. We couldn't believe the level of hostility by the manager and the staff. And only legitimate reason for the outburst seems to be that he had to do more work because other guest called him after finding out that there was a water leak. It would've have been no issue if they told the guests about the water leak but they tried to keep it hushed for no other reason but afraid of guests panicking and possibly leaving to...
Read moreI stayed here July 12, 2025. The room was fine - beds were comfortable, floors were clean, no smells, bathroom was clean and well-stocked with towels and washcloths. I'm a man, so I could not care less about decor and whether a place looks "dated". I needed a place to sleep and take a shower and this fit the bill. I booked a few days before my stay and ended up paying $235 for one night after all taxes and fees. That was my only complaint; the cost was a little high for the hotel.
I was in a room directly across from the elevator, but never noticed any noises from people coming and going. On my departure, however, the elevator was out of service, but it was not a problem to walk down the stairs to leave. Hauling luggage up the stairs might have been a different story, though.
The breakfast was actually decent but nothing special: scrambled eggs, sausage links, biscuits and sausage gravy. There was also a waffle iron, cereal, fruit, and toast, but I did not have any of that so I can not comment on the quality. It seemed that they might have made real eggs earlier and topped them off with powdered eggs afterwards, but I dug some of the real ones out of the bottom of the tray. My friend made the mistake of taking them from the top. So, maybe try to get to breakfast before 7:30am or so for the better stuff.
The property is within walking distance to a Texas Roadhouse, Cafe Del Sol, Jersey Mike's, Moe's and a couple of other places. They had 10% off coupons for Texas Roadhouse, so we walked there and back for dinner, which was convenient.
I would stay there again if I could get a better rate next time. I probably would look elsewhere for $235 per...
Read moreFirst and last time staying at a La Quinta Inn. Booked this hotel because it was pet friendly and we were taking our dog with us on the trip. When checking in I asked if the noise from the highway would be less if we got a room facing the other direction and was told, "no", this was a huge lie, and now I am convinced it was told to us to put us in a PET room. The noise throughout the evening was so loud from the interstate. As for the cleanliness of the room, it was disgusting. The one bed was caked with dog hair from the previous stay. The floor, the sitting chair, and the bed was caked with dog hair. I went and bought a linen brush and scraper from Target but it was too much, had to strip the bed and bring the linen to the front desk. In return, we were given a clean sheet, yes, one clean sheet for each bed. The toilet was so disgusting, I asked for it to be cleaned, they brought me the cleaner, so I cleaned it myself, but we didn't use it at all. We didn't shower, we didn't use the toilet, we slept with all of our clothes on including socks, tried not to move, all the while listening to the heavy night traffic on the interstate. When all of our issues were brought up to the front desk, we were handed toilet cleaner and two sheets, not to mention the, "these rooms are very very clean" talk from the front desk attendant. Come sunlight, we were GONE! I feel embarassed we just didn't leave. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL, IT...
