Iconic Chapel Hill restaurant, family owned, been eating here for 20 years, open late and serves classic thin NYC style MONSTER sized slices. Can get super crowded by drunken undergrads late night but you can still get in and out with a great slice or two, or a whole pie. Food costs are brutal right now for small local places so $5 a slice is seemingly high but look at what you get, it's worth it. Eat local.

The guy is a con artist. Charged 28$ for 4 pieces of pizza when a whole one only cost about 20$. Also he has a skimmer on his card reader because my card got hacked after going there. Horrible person running the place -5 stars Owner is a chump. Won’t own up to how nasty the place is and how his guy at the front tries to steal your credit card information. Bunch of grease balls

I buy pizza from you and I saw it burnt. It is forbidden for you to sell pizza like this. We buy with our money and not for free. These things we will not be silent about. We will file a case for this shop. you charged me $40 for one XL why 😱 It's burnt pizza and we threw it in the trash Everyone please see this picture

I work in the area and have eaten from here a few times against my better judgement. The guy behind the counter is not customer friendly at all. Seems to always have an attitude. One time I made a request for two fresh slices from a pie he had in the oven and he got very aggressive with me. The biggest reason for 1 star is that they recycle unsold pizza from the days prior and will sell this to paying customers. I came in here on Friday Oct 27th, 2023 right around the time that they opened. I noticed there was a lot of pizza already sitting out that clearly wasn’t fresh and quickly was able to conclude that it was old pizza from the day (or days) prior. If I wasn’t in a hurry I would’ve certainly addressed this and gotten a refund. $15+ for 2 slices and a soft drink and I ended up just throwing the pizza out and drinking only the soda. Unless you want to spend a bunch of money on pizza that tastes like cardboard, I’d advise you stay away from this place and try one of the other local pizza spots. Italian Pizzeria III is a spot right down the street from here with excellent pizza and great service. There are also a few chain pizza places on Franklin...

I ordered through Slice for pickup. Got to the store and the man behind the counter told me that my order had been taken by the "doordash guy". I explained to him that it was a pickup order showed him the confirmation text I had. He replied "I don't care". I then asked him to remake the pizza since I had already paid. Again he said "no. I don't care". Then I asked for a refund and again he said "no I don't care". This is the worst I've been treated at any restaurant in memory. I will never be back.

EDIT: the "owner", or whoever is in charge of responding to reviews online, keeps replying to bad reviews saying "oh we are so sorry. we are working on this issue". They are not. This place has had terrible service and been filthy since it opened. Anyone living near downtown knows that. Don't give them...

If cleanliness isn't an issue for you be sure to drop in for a slice at a NY price. Suit up in your hazmat gear before heading into the bathroom, and be sure to sidestep the excrement that was dropped a touch shy of the toilet by a previous patron. We've all seen this before, but I got the impression that a lack of attention to the bathroom carries over elsewhere, and I was right. Most of the tables were filthy. Crumbs and dried sauce at multiple tables looked to be long time residents.

You never get a second chance at a first impression, and unfortunately it was so filthy here that I...
